Caroline, a she-wolf who has been considered a monster since she was a child, can she break the tragedy spell and find her MATE?

The world sharpened. "I can feel you," I whispered, tears leaking from my eyes. "I can feel everything." Daxon collapsed next to me, laughing breathlessly. Tate leaned over us, brushing the hair from my forehead. "We're here," she said. "We're all here." For a moment, it was perfect. The broken pieces of the Silverfang triad had snapped back together. We were whole. Then Tate screamed. It was a sound that didn't belong in a human throat. Her body went stiff, her spine arching violently off the floor. Her eyes rolled back until only the whites showed.

Damian stood there, his eyes wide with shock. "What the hell are you?" he breathed. I looked at him, and I knew my eyes were blazing silver, I knew I looked like something otherworldly. Something powerful. Something dangerous. "I'm done being weak," I said, and my voice carried a double tone, mine and my wolf's combined. "I'm done being used. And I'm done running." The silver light pulsed through my veins like lightning, like moonlight made solid. "They want a war?" I smiled, and it wasn't a kind smile. "Then let's give them one.”

I looked up at him, my lips trembling, “W–what does this mean?” “Silver is our daughter,” he repeated. “What?” Silver gasped, her small voice piercing through the thick silence that swept through the hall. Her wide eyes bounced from me to Detroit, confusion shadowing every inch of her face, just like mine. “What… what do you mean?” “How is that possible?” I asked. The father should me Ryan…Sarah's theory floated back to mind.

He breathes next to my ear. I can smell the hot metal from here. The next minute I feel it searing pain on my skin by my lower back. I wail from the pain and my breath is gone. I see white. He then throws silver powder on my wound to prevent it from closing and healing. I scream louder it burns like hell, he just laughs at me. If it ever heals there will be a scar. I throw up from the pain and my tears are flowing down my face.

They're running around everywhere, making everything worse. I hide behind the thick bush and quickly transformed into my silver wolf form. I ran at full speed towards where they were fighting. In just a blink of an eye, I'm among them and immediately attacked the wolves attacking Rini. Since I am silver, I can take out three or four of the enemies. One of the remaining creatures decided it was time to attack my father and so I dashed and jumped on him. I bit down on his neck with enough force that it snapped and he fell lifeless on the ground.

She glanced at the bottom of the page where she saw that it was written by, Mariana Victain. “The Supreme Magus?” This got her intrigued to continue reading the entire excerpt. “The treasures of Immortalis are biologically engineered artefacts known as Black Liver and Silver Fangs. Both were created after several experimental failures involving the blood of the innocent and the tainted hearts of the most vicious wild beasts. The key component of crafting these artefacts came from the hidden inscription on the Cronus monolith. This ancient discovery could only be understood by an adept sorcerer known as Olken Vaud.

Tatiana said in a low voice. "Um, okay. I was going to the mansion before, but I guess I can drop by and pick him up.” Silver said, already mentally reshuffling her plan for the next day. Her son comes first. “Alright, see you soon," Tatiana said and ended the call. Silver gave the driver instructions to change direction. A few minutes later, the car stopped in front of Silver's childhood home, and her son came bounding out of the house as she got out of the vehicle.

I asked. Silver affirmed, “Never been surer in my whole life.” “Then let’s go kick some rogues’ ass,” I said with a proud smirk. I closed my eyes in full concentration, trying to reassure the voice that she was going to be rescued. “I can see it,” Silver said. “The voice is two meters away and we need to get there as fast as possible, or else she might get hurt.” “She?” I asked disbelievingly, my eyes flashing with an even colder glint. “Then what are you waiting for?”

“He looks like me, ‘’ he whispered, but we all heard him. “He does,” I said, standing up. “Have a great day,” I said, smiling. They walked to him and just stood there limp. I sighed. Archie just seemed curious. Silver smiled at them. “Hey, I am beta Silver, but you can call me Silver,” he said.
