Tom scrambled to his feet, his expression grim as he drew his sidearm. "Ha ha ha! You’re pathetic! You think a mere gun can fool me?" the vampire mocked with arrogant confidence. "Really? Why don't you find out?" Bang! Tom squeezed the trigger. The bullet streaked through the air, finding its mark right in the vampire's skull. The creature's eyes widened as it noticed something different—the tip of the bullet pulsed with a faint golden glow. Argh! The vampire’s head shattered upon impact. Without another sound, the creature collapsed, dead.

She shouted an incantation, her voice echoing off the marble walls. The vampire staggered, clutching his head, screaming as if invisible blades sliced into his skull. Zoe slid to the floor, dazed, gasping for breath. And then… Valerius appeared. A blur of shadow and power, his presence filled the corridor like a storm. His eyes glowed bright, his fangs fully bared. He didn’t hesitate. In a swift, violent motion, Valerius plunged his hand straight into the vampire’s chest. The creature howled, thrashing, but Valerius twisted, ripping upward.

"What are you talking about?" I asked Landon, my voice low but firm. I was about to turn and face him when he went in front of me himself. He towered over me, his eyes were dark and vicious looking straight into mine as if he wanted to look into my soul through them. I don't mind if he could. I don't care about anything else now. All I want is vengeance and I'm willing to do whatever it takes just to have that. "You heard me right, Eve. You have had vampire blood in you ever since you were born."
