It seemed Jack had already made up his mind as he sprinted ahead of her. The Alphas pushed aside the rubble meant to block their path and dashed after them. Alex heard their soft footsteps mixed in with that terrible siren. Jack looked back over his shoulder and sent a fireball whizzing towards them. Three Alphas each dodged, gracefully jumping to the side. Alex pulled out her sonic pistol, ran backwards for a bit, and aimed at the closest one. The gun charged up and opened its dish shaped barrel. When the green light blinked Alex pulled the trigger and an unheard note shot out of the barrel and into the first Alpha. His black suit glowed with blue dots as it countered the frequency and prot

The sonic effect skipped everyone who wore the device, including KR members. Vinsen sensed the sonic screamer even before Kayla thought of screaming. He stood on the top of a tower he knew by the solid structure, wasn't susceptible to the sonic effect. With his mind, and hand motions, he controlled the power of the sonic with his eyes closed. He trapped the effects within the borders of V Empire premises, directed the movement of the sonic effects, and told it whom to kill and who not to, what to destroy and what not to. The trees stopped moving, and all KR members and wolves were unharmed, but V Empire and everything related to them got destroyed. The vampires in the tower burst at the soun

I noticed that she had two smaller bags as well. “What’s in these?” I asked, pointing to the smaller bags. “One is my camera and all the extra equipment, the other is my computer and stuff” She answered. I picked up both bags and slung them over my shoulder and started walking. I was hoping she was following. She wasn’t, because when I turned around I saw Brady introducing her to Nick our other guitarist, Eli our bass player, and Trevor our drummer. I watched as Trevor gave her one of his massive bear hugs. I love the guy, he is like a brother to me. Kyaria was lost in him. He is a massive guy.

He said and Marvin nodded his agreement while Kevin and I just remained listening to them. I can still hear the vocalist's voice and it's still beautiful but I am now more interested in what Mike has to say to support his claim about his new found 'gem'. "You don't understand, Barry. By geniuses, I mean they are creative enough to connect and associate the songs they re performing to the name of their band!" Mike said which led us to a much greater confusion. We all looked at him quizzically cause we don't really understand what he means. He winced when he realized that we didn't get what he said and scratched his nape before explaining further. "They performed three songs, right?" We all no

The problem wasn’t over yet, but at least he’s gone for now. I turned slowly to face him again. His gray eyes, sharp and cold, were fixed on me. For a split second, I felt exposed, like he could see straight through me and through my thoughts. “I… thank you,” I said quickly, bowing and forcing a smile. “And… I’m sorry for the trouble.” “That’s the third time,” he murmured, almost under his breath, before turning and walking away. I stood frozen in time for a moment, watching his facade fade down the hallway. The words echoed in my mind. The third time? My pulse skipped. Does he actually remember me? My chest tightened as I realized what just happened. Or am I just possibly overthinking thing

"Second, the 'Flash-Freeze.' It’s a concentrated version of the stabilizer you’ve been stealing. When inhaled, it triggers a hyper-calcification of the marrow. Its 'locks' their shift. If they're mid-transformation, they stay that way, fragile, brittle, and incapable of using their strength." "And third, the Sonic Disruptor. Their hearing is 20% more sensitive than a natural wolf’s, as your friends had demonstrated at the arena, but much more lethal. This device emits a frequency that resonates with the kinetic redirection plating in their bones. It creates a feedback loop. To them, it feels like their own skeleton is trying to vibrate itself into powder." My father reached under the desk an

He just said, “Now.” The quick-witted female in front of the server banks smacked her finger onto a key. "Not an alarm. A switch." Panels slid back with a hydraulic hiss from above. No sprinkler systems. The four cylindrical objects lowered, each with a low-pitched, piercing hum that resonated in your bones. Sonic disruptors. Non-lethals, but totally debilitating

Activating its powers again, the halberd set loose a sudden surge of purplish-gold brilliance and the destructive beam shot at the Human King of the Chamber. Bong! Bong! The Human King took out a little drum and pounded hard on its face. The little drum shone like a diamond as it rumbled, and the air quivered. Boom! That shattered the purplish-gold beam fired by Chu Xun's halberd and the sonic waves came crashing like tidal waves. Sonic wave attacks?! It was the sort of attack that Chu Xun would always find cumbersome for it deals damage directly to one's soul. The sonic waves came like an unstoppable tide, falling down trees and tearing them into chips and flakes with terrifying efficacy.

For if he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have known about Eva and Marie’s Sonic Clap. Sonic Clap was a sound based martial art that was difficult to study. Among the Undead, only a few with the exception of Eva and Marie had been able to study this skill and only three – two of them being the female assassins trying to kill Aiden – had been able to completely master it. Sonic Clap wasn’t as destructive as other martial arts, but it was very dangerous. Armed with the ability to destroy the eardrums of any who heard it and disorient as well as temporarily destroy the sense of balance of a person, Sonic Clap was not to be underestimated. Its greatest flaw however was that it was only best used as a sneak
