Her voice was a symphony of pure enchantment, a melodic whisper that could charm the gods themselves. “Mate? What's that?” I asked again, still walking closer to her. She never left where she was, and I never got closer to her. “Mate is referred to as a predestined, supernatural bond between two individuals. They are soulmates. And mate bond is a fated union, chosen by me to identify who your mate is. It's marked by a strong, irresistible attraction between the two mates.” Her tone was soothing, calming, and uplifting all at once, like a gentle summer breeze.

^ I asked my fox. She looked up toward the sky, a chill sliding through her as a slight grin spread across his face. ^True mates are what humans would call soulmates.
