 DIARY OF A PATRIOT

DIARY OF A PATRIOT

"Oh, my sweet lady, do find it in your heart to forgive me, please. I didn't mean to be so presumptous." She smiled sadly as she brushed my palm with her hand, which she had gently removed from my clasp. "Don't judge by appearances, my dear," she muttered. After which she had gone on to clear the awkward silence that had threatened to shatter our fragile friendship that day. I admired her strength the more, and she won a place in my heart. Aisha took it upon herself to teach me the Hausa language so that we could reach out to the locals with our campaign of eliminating some harmful practices and attitudes that would take us nowhere. Every evening after work, we sat together to discuss how we

Aisha pov Glenfield high, the school where I was the queen bee until the unfortunate events, I am sure you are wondering what misery that could be, well let me take you back to how it all started…….. The alarm went off, Aisha stood up lazily in her PJs, yawning and stressing. “Well, this is me, a messy beautiful teenage girl, my name's Aisha and welcome to my world”, she introduced as she stood up to clean up and get ready for school.

Asher

Asher

she replies fanatically, clearly trying to get me to turn and leave her office. This is what I get for coming to an information centre for help. My invitation is a mistake, and I've come to clear I up here, with people who directly work for Alpha Asher. At least they say they are. If Asher can handle this woman, then he must be extremely patient. "Look," my eyes draw down to her name tag pinned to her neatly ironed teal shirt, "Miss Bell, but I never applied for invitation, which makes this invalid."

I picked it up, bringing it to my ear without much interest. “Who’s this?” I asked lazily, even though I already knew. “It’s me. Aisha.” Her voice was breathless, shaky. “I’m here. The location you gave me, but…I don’t see you.” I smirked, leaning back. “Oh, sweetheart, did you think I’d be sitting here with a neon sign that says ‘Hello, I’m the Isabella’?” A short pause. Then a nervous chuckle. “No, of course not. I just—”

The Cruel Alpha's Unwanted Bride

I just plucked it out of my closet. I grabbed my phone and called my best friend. Aisha is a beta. Beta ranks from seven hundred downwards to be things like teachers, philosophers, and anything that involves discovering and passing on information. She’s a federal informant for the Dark Moon pack. “Yay, you’re married.” she didn’t sound excited, and honestly, neither did i. “Let’s be real, I made a mistake.”

The man is so cruel and mean. I really don't understand Avery. She seems like an intelligent person but she is a pushover unfortunately. I'll keep reading though, hoping she becomes fierce and kicks his ass.

Here to correct a review I mistakenly left for a different book with a similar premise. As far as THIS novel, the author really does a great job writing in a way that makes you feel like you're there. The FL is pathetic at times, but likeable as hell. The ML though? Pathetic is an understatement lol

"What and what have you been able to find out?" "Well, I've found out that your name is Aisha Humaira, I'm surprised to know that you have never been seen using a surname. Mind if I ask why?" Lash trembles. This is one of the reasons she doesn't entertain men, they like to bite more than they can chew.

Alpha Asher

Alpha Asher

Everything was picture perfect. Asher's expression was perfectly neutral as he approached them. "Mother, Alpha Cassius, Thelia," he greeted, nodding to each in turn. He placed a respectful kiss on his mother's cheek, a gesture that was more habit than affection. Luna Camilla smiled, a hint of satisfaction in her eyes, as he took his place besides them.

The Mafia's Substitute Bride

“Has she finished her work for the day? She used to bring those paper bags back from the market with green string around the tops. Tied them twice. You always helped her carry them.” There was a beat of silence in the room as Aisha sighed. "That's not her mother, father. You don't even know who he rmother is." She turned to Val apologetically. "So sorry about that." Val was still in a confusion haze as Aisha slowly reached for her phone. Valentina glanced back at Mr. Vescari. His eyes were fixed softly on her, as if trying to figure out what part of the conversation he got wrong. Aisha spoke softly into the phone, stepping away for a moment. “Can you come up, please?”
