I huff in frustration as I teleport back to the entrance of the cells. I raise my hands, which causes the ground to tremble. Weeds growing around me, I whip my hand towards Axel. They catch around his legs and slowly drag him towards me as he struggles to get free. I place my hand on his lips as he looks in my direction in fear, “Don't be afraid of me please. I can help you forget about this, I promise. Just keep still.” I place the palm of my hand on his forehead, chanting the spell to erase his memories for the past hour. I see his eyes turn white and mine soon follow after.

However, someone severed the connection, and something else happened. Perhaps something we hadn’t anticipated all this time.” I cursed under my breath. “What could that be?” I asked angrily. “Maybe she doesn’t remember,” said the sorcerer, and I frowned. “Some people have very strong side effects from that kind of spell, and memory loss is one of them. It’s just a matter of you finally hearing back from your spies.”
