I supposed reading probably wasn’t an interest of hers. My fingers stopped on the spine of a black book with silver lettering stamped into the spine. Mysteries of Vampires, Werewolves and Humans, it read. I considered it for a moment before sliding it out of the shelf. Was it a journal? A scientific or historical text? I took a seat on the sofa and began to read, quickly snapping the book shut when I read the explicit words on the pages and felt the heat crawl up my face.

Turning the cover for me to see he said, “So this is your favorite book, huh?” Wondering what had him looking so sly I focused my eyes on the cover and I immediately felt a rush of heat flare through my body. “For you.” I could hardly believe it. Flipping through the composition book, I could make out pages upon pages filled with neat handwriting, what looked like ten chapters worth of reading, and even… a couple of smutty scenes. My cheeks warmed as I flipped to a random page and read something about the dragon turning into a man, and…

"I need you to review this before you leave. It's the projections for next quarter. There are discrepancies." I nod, swallowing hard. My mouth is suddenly as dry as bone. "Of course, sir." My voice comes out breathier than I intend, and I reach for the folder, my fingers trembling. As I open it, he shifts closer… way too close. His hip brushes the side of my chair, and I can feel the solid, heavy wall of his thigh against my arm. The numbers on the page blur as I try to focus. All I can think about is how easy it would be for him to reach down, tilt my chin up, and claim my mouth.

(Jette came near the phone and answered the call) “Hello, Ma’am, how may I help you?” asked Jette. “Please find the first rule in the middle of the book,” said the woman on the other line. “Hello, what do you mean?” asked Jette. She saw a name written on the first page of the book. CLYDE JOHNSON DEL ESPANIA. She couldn't help but smile. What a perfect name for someone as handsome as him. It was as if the name was perfectly made for him. She closed the book and took her time to kiss it before she realized something. She could taste a hint of bitterness at the tip of her tongue. She even licked her lips to make sense of the taste. It was bitter, nothing like she'd ever tasted before. That was when she realized the state of the book just a few minutes before. She hadn't even wiped all of the dirt off her face, and there were still traces of it left on her lips!

Tony handed the notebook to me, and I flipped it open to the first page. Written on the page was what appeared to be a table of contents, which I found rather odd. I skimmed through the rest of the book coming across diagrams, plans, and other addresses we did not know about. “Okay guys. Let’s get the fuck out of here before I pass out from this god forsaken stench! We will go through this book thoroughly later. I can tell it is going to be a valuable asset to us.”

Luna left the room and Tyler continued to show me how everything works so I could navigate my way around. "There are some dirty entries in there." As soon as the book was laid open, my hands flew to my mouth and I gasped. "Holy Artemis, it's an illustration of two wolves doing it." I burst out laughing. "Why is that in a medical book?" Then I looked up at him. "Oh my Goddess, and you memorized the page number!"
