The sudden shock in her eyes instantly hardened into a familiar, venomous glare. "Look at you," Linda spat, her voice raspy and thin, dripping with the bitter envy that had corrupted her entire soul. She leaned forward, the heavy iron cuffs around her wrists rattling loudly against the steel table. "The grand champion. Did you come down from your golden mountain just to gloat, Lila? Did you come to see the trash taken out?"

As if…she knows. I gasped at the unanticipated revelation, pointing the edge of the curler towards Linda who stood at mere meters in front of me. ‘How do you know?’ I managed to utter barely through a whisper. ‘How do you know… about the curse?’ Chewing my lower lip, I traveled my gaze over to her. All my hair stood on end, and I couldn’t seem to tear my gaze off her. Linda’s pointed finger trembled violently and, in a few seconds, her body began to convulse. Her eyes rolled back to her head and the next moment, she dropped her eyes and hand to the floor.

She reached out her hand. The Spirit smirked. “No buts… as thank you for the entertainment… no payment is to be made.” And then the mischievous and unpredictable spirit disappeared. Luntian’s gaze went back to the monster. Now, as unfortunate as it is, all is up to her to cleanse the Soul of Luther. “Young man…” Luntian says, pleasantly surprised at how steady her voice is. “Listen to me, I can help you. I can help you enter the realm of the spirits peacefully, without pain.”

Inside the barrier was enchanted, and their body would be heavier than usual. Lizo managed to stand back and walk unaffected while Linda was still on the ground. “Stand up, Linda.” She forcefully pulled herself up and we walked farther. I walked faster to leave them and when I escaped from their sight, I gave them an illusion. I invaded their heart and mind to find their nightmare and showed it. I saw Linda instantly cry while standing, she was looking straight and tried to touch who was in front of her. Unfortunately, I did not know what they were seeing. Lizo was on verge of shifting. Furious and ready to fight.

"Water doesn't lather like this?" Maris took her gaze higher, but was seeing double. There were two Lindas. "Who are you?" "Dracula's assistant." Linda's fangs shot out and she hissed like the silver tongued snake she was. "What?" Maris could barely stand on her legs as they wobbled, feeling like they was jelly. "But I saw you walk under sun."
