Adam whispered. "Five feet apart." I grinned and he would regret asking me and choosing that movie. "Alright, Five feet apart, it is!" He clapped as everyone groaned. I giggled softly eyeing Adam. They started playing the movie as I watched it with almost sincerity, I love this movie. It's a heartbreaking movie and I'm definitely gonna cry after seeing it. Halfway through the movie, When they were lying I could tell he loved the way she touched him with her eyes and felt her with mine. I started crying that she was going to die.

Adam rolled his eyes. “Don’t be such a drama queen,” he said. "Nobody hates you.” I slouched down on the sofa in a mood. I didn’t leave my friends and family to be locked up, isolated from the whole world. Adam grabbed the remote and began looking through the movies. He finally settled on some movie about magicians who were criminals. I laid across the sofa, putting my legs across his lap, and we settled in to watch the movie. About half an hour into it, I remembered breakfast.

"Hello, Adam. Do you still recognize my voice?" someone asked from the recording played by Clark. The voice sent shivers down Adam's spine. His eyes widened as he heard the voice of his old friend, Kevin Costner. "K--Kevin?" he muttered in surprise. Adam never imagined that Clark had access to Kevin's voice. "I--is this a trick?" he asked with a doubtful tone, but Clark just smiled cynically without answering. The recording continued, revealing astonishing facts. Adam never thought he would hear such shocking confessions.

Dan reminded Adam. Adam at that moment didn’t know what to do. Every time Kris was in danger. He felt useless. He had promised her to protect her no matter what and here he was now, acting stupid. “Major, we don’t have much time”, Lt. Jim shouted. “turn on all your lights”, ordered Adam. “focused all the light to her”, commanded Adam. Everyone followed his order. The monster suddenly howled in agony. “ah, ahh, ahhh”, shouted Myla. She looked like she was fighting a demon inside of her.

When getting ready for a second blow on uncle Quinn’s ribs, Adam hits him with a shot on the abdomen. Adam was protected behind a tree, reloading his gun and trying to espace from Geffrey’s thug shots, and catching the miserable man by surprise, he reloaded in time to hit the man twice in the chest, making him fall bloody. Adam yelled loudly as soon as he saw a big group of gold diggers coming near to attack us. “They are too many, we don’t have a chance, let’s escape.” Adam and I ran, trying to escape the big group of men coming behind us. We turned towards the group that were cornering us and we faced men holding sickles, knives and axes, challenging us.

The driver got severely injured while Mariah and Ivan got minor cuts. Adam ran towards the Mercedes, like his life depended on it. The smoke was spreading rapidly all around the car but Adam didn’t care and he jumped right into the smoke to save his love. Adam struggled to open the door but after a few tries he was able to break it. Adam saw Mariah laying unconscious, her face swollen and dried up tears, clothes torn apart and her bra was out of place revealing everything beneath. Adam died a little inside in that moment, he wasn’t even able to protect his love. He failed just like he failed to protect his sister.

He turned and ran back toward the gates without saying another word. I stood still, my heart racing. The twins woke up. Leo pushed his small face against my chest and made another low growl. I gently tickled them, whispering soft words to keep them calm. The gates opened with a loud creak. Alpha Damon walked out first. He looked just exactly as I remembered him. He had tall, broad shoulders, golden eyes that once made my heart melt. Those same eyes of his stared at me with surprise and something deeper that I could not name. Cassandra stood right behind him, her arms crossed and her face was already twisted with hatred as usual.

Adam turned back to look at me and gave me a wink before he walked towards Vance.
