Novel & Cerita Spooky Stories To Tell In The Dark

Somewhere in some distant memories where vampires and werewolves existed among the humans in low profile, there was a very young lass excited to listen to her mother’s bedtime story every night. “Mom, tell me a new story.” an excited five years old young wolf jumps up and down as she ushers her mother for another bedtime story. “What kind of story you wanted to hear this time, hm?” her mother smiled as she carried her daughter toward her bed. “Hmm, what about vampires?” the young wolf suggested with her innocent tone that made her mother shake her head.

But after all the goosebumps, 'twas just a tree. "Relax," she tangles her arm with mine, "those trees scare the intruders if any. A similitude of scarecrow." "Oh, but you're scared, too." "Of course! This forest is creepy! This is where the tears of our dead pack are preserved. Sometimes, those watch-wolves heard an agonizing howl in here." "Then there are ghosts here?" "That can't be!" I finally made a chuckle for the first time in a while. "That story is just a legend. It's a stupid creed to be true."

Tonight, as usual, was full of a lot more fun than usual. Boys who didn't have to go to the evening class were excited and cheering loudly in the dark, almost like werewolves howling all the time when the moon is full. Outside, the wind was very strong, and lightning and thunder were going off. In this kind of situation, it makes sense to tell ghost stories. The four men went to bed and took turns telling each other stories. They purposely lowered their voices so that they could barely be heard in the dark, which caused even more worry and tension. When they heard this, it was only natural for their heads to feel numb.

I started the journey, I walked for two hours, and I wasn’t scared as I had my sword, my backpack and myself. I got to the river. I was thinking of sleeping there but then I started hearing voices and it seemed like the cold night river. I have heard about that river and how it can be. It is a place where spirits roam but it is famous for the Tell Tale spirit. The Tell-Tale spirit is a spirit that appears to tell you your future and it is always bad, it rarely comes out though, it has been disregarded as one of those old stories. I turned around to get away from the river and then it became extremely foggy all of a sudden and cold too, fear gripped me immediately and I knew I was in for it.

Tora and Jax shifted closer, protective but watchful, while Isolde and Thorne loomed in their usual shadows. It was Isolde who broke the silence. “If this is what I think it is, then brute strength won’t matter. Vampires can’t bite smoke. Dragons can’t burn shadows.” Her voice dropped lower, curiosity and unease threading together. “You’ve heard of the old ghost stories, haven’t you? The shadowcraft.” Charlie’s head snapped up, his usual easy grin absent. “They’re not ghost stories. They’re warnings.”

"I just want us to arrive soon because the residents said that there's a mysterious creature that likes to roam around on full moon nights. And everyone is hiding at home right now. So we should seek shelter immediately." "Don't you scare me, I don't believe in such things. You're also a human being so if the story is true then you will hide earlier instead of going to the bar." "What if I'm not a human? What if I'm the mysterious creature that's being talked about?" "You're just full of crap. I'm a logical person. I only believe in evidence not stories." As if to confirm the truth of Ryker's story, there was a very long wolf howl, overpowering the sound of their bikes.

My stomach turned with revulsion that never quite faded. "Speaking of interesting stories," Thelma said, her words slurring more noticeably now as she drained another glass. "Has anyone told the old tales yet? The really old ones, from before the manor was even built?" "Old tales?" Madison perked up immediately, leaning forward with interest. "What kind of old tales?" "The dark ones," Thelma said with relish, clearly enjoying having a fresh audience. "The bloody ones. The ones that actually happened, not fairy stories."

"The perimeter is leaking, and the undead have already found the seam. Clear the courtyard in two days. Every single one." A chill ran down my spine as I remembered the old northern stories—rotting jaws still snapping long after their legs had been severed, hollow bodies that kept tearing and feeding with no scent and no pain. They never stopped. I swallowed the fear rising in my throat and lifted my chin. "Fine. Give me the weapon."

I asked, genuinely curious. "They say twilight is a supernatural hour—the witching hour. Creatures hiding in darkness emerge then, shape-shifting into human form or possessing actual humans who walk among us." His rich, velvety voice flowed like dark chocolate, making even this eerie tale enthralling. "These creatures might suddenly call your name. If you answer them, they'll devour your soul..." The mountain wind carried his words with mysterious undertones that sent a delicious shiver down my spine. I paused for a few seconds, then decided to go along with it.

I pulled it from the shelf and sat down at the table, flipping it open. The first few pages were filled with the usual stuff—founding dates, town milestones, and the kind of folklore that every small town seemed to have. But as I read further, the stories grew darker. Mentions of strange disappearances, shadowy figures in the woods, and whispers of creatures that hunted under the full moon. Wolves. My breath caught in my throat as I skimmed over the passages. It wasn’t just talk of wild animals. There were stories—centuries old—of people who could shift into wolves. People who lived among the townsfolk by day but became something else under the cover of darkness.
