I Marked The CEO Mine

I Marked The CEO Mine

He could perceive how brilliant they were in their appearance on the water, how colossal and savage they made him look. Now and then, when Noah was at his generally hopeless, he would not let his wings out. It was a discipline he could direct to himself. The profound help, the obvious, staggering feeling of opportunity that spreading out his wings provided for his spirit just felt bogus, similar to a medication. This evening he permitted himself that rush. He bowed his knees to the sand and started off out of sight. A couple of feet over the outer layer of the water, he immediately moved around with the goal that his back was to the sea, his wings spread underneath him like a great gleaming

A Fairy Well-kept Secret

A Fairy Well-kept Secret

A glance to the left let her catch Professor Theodore reading a book of his own, situated under one of the large windows. She sighed before looking back at the shelves. It would take her seconds to free her wings and fly through the Library and place the books back. Daffodil shook her head before trudging along. Exposing her wings to the world would get her into too much trouble. Thinking of the time she’d first witnessed the change it made to a human sent tiny shivers down her spine. Daffodil took a deep breath to dispel the memories that threatened to fully resurface. She would always be grateful for how calm and welcoming Daryl and Beryl were to her.

The Path Less Traveled

The Path Less Traveled

I only had a year to find my answers, no distractions was a good way to start. "Venus, honey, are you ready?" My mom called me from the kitchen, as I opened my bedroom door. "Yes, mom be right there." I called back. Walking towards the kitchen, I was singing Famous Last Words out loud. "I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone, honey if you stay I'll be forgiven, Nothing you can say can stop me going home. Can you see my eyes are shining bright? Cause I'm out here on the other side of a jet black hotel mirror and I'm so weak..."

Time to Spread My Wings

Time to Spread My Wings

"Oh, so you just can't make it without the Swains? You've got two hands and two feet. What's stopping you from getting a job and taking care of yourself instead of showing up here to whine? "This whole act is just your way of sneaking back into Mom and Dad's good books through me. Don't pretend you actually feel bad. You don't." Jillian's face turned ghostly white. She clearly wasn't ready for me to call her out like that. Her mouth opened, but nothing came out. I shoved past the three of them, rushed out of the airport, and hopped into a cab headed for the university.

The Black Wolf

The Black Wolf

Instantly, her form shimmered and shrank until she became a bright, glimmering fairy once more. She began to twirl mid-air, her wings scattering golden dust that swirled like fireflies caught in a whirlwind. Her hands moved in strange, fluid gestures, as if she were weaving something unseen. The book pulsed with light, each beat brighter, hotter, more alive. Then she called out, “By the way, this is my first time doing this, so pardon any mistakes!” “What?!” But I didn’t get the chance to finish. The book flared. And then I was falling.

Wings Of Change

Wings Of Change

Her tone totally flat. Pushing himself forward_he leaned towards the edge of his desk, just close enough to perceive her alluring body spray which only cause Aria to fall back on her chair in total disgust or was it fright? Being overly satisfied with her reaction. Frank began to explain in a rather low tone. "So here is the thing._there is going to be a book launch this weekend and I have been invited along side my mom but it's unfortunate that she won't be able to make it so am going to have to take someone in her place"

Book One of the Rosewood Trilogy: The Broken Sanctum

Book One of the Rosewood Trilogy: The Broken Sanctum

I couldn’t stop smiling. For the first time since the wings appeared, I didn’t feel like they were going to destroy everything I wore. Now I just had to figure out how to actually use them. Which was how I found myself standing alone in a clearing at the edge of the forest outside Thornridge. I took a slow breath. “Okay,” I muttered. The books had said the wings were tied to emotion and magical control. Which meant panic probably wasn’t the right approach. I closed my eyes. Focused on the quiet current of magic beneath my skin.

Wingless and Beautiful

Wingless and Beautiful

I tried to reach for the shelf closer to Chaise but stopped when I realized that he didn’t move an inch to give me space. “Excuse me, do you mind?” Still, he didn’t budge. “It’s my shelf.” I sighed desperately. “Can’t you find another shelf or at least move away a little bit? I just need to put this book back in its place.” He smiled at me and moved away just a little bit, which still didn’t give me much space. Returning the book would mean I had to stand a few inches away from him. Too close, I may as well smell his aftershave.

Beautiful love story, one of the most unique plots I’ve read so far with. Very touching & emotional but still realistic. Also it’s rare plotpoint that Hero & heroine are each other’s firsts. Technically well-written - no grammatical errors! Wish there were more Hero’s POV, but loved it anyway.

Wow, truly beautiful story. Started out fast and kept improving. Cried a lot in the beginning (had to pause until I calmed down). Also, laughed at times. The characters were very mature and I’m glad Hunter and Alice were able to overcome the trauma in their lives. Well written. Worth reading.
