As she bid farewell to her teacher and her classmates (in her mind), Amy started her journey towards the direction of the City of Wings. It was a smooth walk in the evening breeze. On her way she looked up to the sky to notice a peculiar bird flying above her because of its uniqueness, it had four wings and a twin tail. A leg was hanging down as if it was injured and what seemed to be a drop of blood, dripped down from its leg and fell right in front of her. Amy thought," What a poor beast.", as it flew away.

said Alice, looking at her. "Wings with two colors, this statue also has two different colors. Alice is right, I think the cover of this book was inspired by the carving of these wings!" mumbled Xander who had just realized the book they had read. Tristan mumbled who had glimpsed the blood-red cover of the book they had read last night.

Jason asks, A frown appears on his face before he answers sarcastically, “Is there any other meaning of wings? They are huge. So huge, that they touch the floor.” Closing my eyes, I picture my wings, just like Nyx taught me. Seconds later, I feel their weight behind. His surprised gasp fills the room, making me open my eyes. I stare at him and, with my voice trembling, I ask, "You mean wings like these?” His mouth hangs open as he nods. “Yes,” he whispers, his eyes still wide with shock. “They are exactly the same. The only difference is that hers are black.” Fucking hell. That’s the only thought that was on my mind as I registered his words.

My heart stuttered with a new kind of satisfaction. Then Axel pushed further. “Wings, remember the wings. Let them breathe with your shoulders. They are as balanced as blades.” I felt the skin at my back tighten. The familiar ache precluded their unfurling, but under it there was no avalanche of fury now only raw power that I could cradle. I stretched my wings a hair’s breadth. The tips sliced through the morning air with a whisper and the faintest sparkle along the edges where metal met feather. Ariella’s breath hitched, and I realized how many things I’d never let myself see as beautiful.

"The wings? I'm slowly starting to know how to fly with them, you don't need to show me that. ”Were the naive words that made Louis laugh. “Oh, gods…” Her breath was scorching hot. Every exhale washed over me like the air from a furnace. One careless movement from me and I would get burned, even one accidental bite and I would be dead. “Please don’t sneeze,” I whispered.
