**FLASHBACK** Leia POV I was finishing the final touches of my look. I curled my blonde hair but pinned it back on both sides, blue jeans and a black tank top. I wasn't overly flashy and this was a human party that I decided to go to. "Leia, we really shouldn't go. We have been warned to stay inside the lands." Una nagged. "It is just for a couple hours Una, we will make an appearance and then come back home. I promise." I replied. "Just know that I do not agree with this." Una said before pushing herself to the back of my mind. I know she means well and I should probably listen but I am due for a good time. My best friend is a luna of a pack now, I've been a little sad, I really miss her.

“Vader Darth, as in-” “Yeah, as in Darth Vader.” I answer. “The twins biological father was a huge fan of star wars. He actually knew a lot of cool stuff about movies, props and special effects. The only problem with him was he was a mean drunk with a wild streak that couldn't stay out of trouble. Anyways, she named him Vader Darth for Star Wars. "Before you go, what will we do about the threat?" I ask Esmy who had started getting up. "If it's war they want, then it's war they'll get." She says seriously.

On New Year’s Eve, Kian Newman never came home. Instead, he had someone deliver a container of frozen ravioli and sent me a single message: "Stay safe this year." Edward's POV Cold. That was first. Not pain. Cold. Starting at the edges of things and moving inward with the patience of something that knows it will get there eventually. The sky. Too bright. I tried to hold it in my sight and couldn’t. Sound arrived in the wrong order—a voice, then none, then two at once, then nothing, then hers. Hers stayed. Her hand was still in mine. I confirmed that before anything else. Warm. Still there. The warmth of it the only fixed point in everything else moving in and out.
