She met a beast cloaked in thorns and fire, whose voice was rage, but whose heart… desire.

I slowly drifted from the apartment to a small dark room. "It's all your fault!" a voice said. "I died because of you!" the voice accused. My heart began to ache as I recognized the voice, "Scott? Is that you." "Shut up!" the voice snapped, moments later I was dragged by my hair and tossed into the flames. "Scott, Scott please," I begged as I tried to stand up, "Please Scott, don't do this." A liquid was poured over me which ignited the fire, and soon I started to burn while his menacing laughter filled the room. His face flashed in front of me, burnt. I let out a piercing scream as the flames began to consume me.

Silent. Even the shadows move aside. Above me, the stars blink— Then darkness falls again. Only a single ember clings to a branch nearby. It hisses: Walk, little flame… and I will show you how gods burn.

The heart writhes. *"She'll unmake us."* Eden's voice is raw. "Do it." The dunes shudder. The sky peels back, green stars spilling through, their tendrils caressing the earth.
