The Beta's Daughter

The Beta's Daughter

“Let’s see it.” I turned the paper over, and revealed the poem scrawled in pencil on the back. Down the streets of woodland black I wander, earth to hearse In every tree I see a wave A looming tidal curse On the cusp of something greater Stood ankle-deep in floodwater Stagnant pools of brown and red The onslaught is coming; I dread For each dark night and each pearl day The mist does clear too soon The floodplain is drown’d again The water, torn from its ocean womb

Wicked

Wicked

One born from a thief One who's lineage was stolen from birth Conflicted souls that would always cross the other's path Star-Crossed Souls whose paths were now twisted through deceitful hands Only one thing can declare the outcome One cannot survive without the other Only when the thief falls shall peace reign once more Upon a shining star Hope shall linger through a Holy Point Sleeping from within the depts of a lake Lies a will In the end Someone must always take the fall

STEPBROTHERS

STEPBROTHERS

“The god that flies on the wind, exchanges an oath with fate, The god travels on the wind with its roaring wings. The light of the beginning sparkles.. sparkles.. The light of the end.. lulala lila. The flames of hundred of millions of lives, fall smoothly and became stars. Flowing, flowing, they are beautiful, And then once again, in the cradle of life and death. They froth slowly. Sing. Sing now these two wishes, Strongly.. strongly shine the god of heaven, They speak of eternity.”

Fading with the Moon

Fading with the Moon

The clock struck midnight as the moon climbed to its zenith. I lay in bed, feeling my wolf spirit slipping away, piece by piece. It was a slow, receding tide, pulling all the life from me. “Aria! Hold on!” My mother’s voice sounded distant, though she gripped my hand tightly. “The healer is almost here!” I tried to answer, to reassure her, but no sound came out. My eyelids felt like lead, the world around me blurring and fading to gray.

Rise of The Fallen

Rise of The Fallen

CAIN (Listen to HUSHH by AViVA for the vibe) Yona soared higher and higher, weaving in fluid motions through the sky. She was breathtaking, her dark hair fanning out behind her as her wings flexed and contracted; the appendages catching the light and revealing their true colors. She had come for me, I hadn’t thought she would; a broken man like me had nothing to offer her. The soul tie thrummed in my chest, demanding I go to her but I fought it; I knew it was useless and that it was dooming both of us. As time went on I became weaker, sicker and I knew she was suffering the same fate. It was selfish of me, but I couldn’t seem to help it, everytime I even thought of the tie, Verity's face sw

The Star-Crossed Mistakes

The Star-Crossed Mistakes

I received a complaint and a one-star review. It was from Christian. He was using such a childish tactic just to force an apology out of me. He wanted to force me to admit the severe consequences I had to face for abandoning him back then. However, I had only loved him passionately, like the sun loved the stars. Could that really be considered a mistake? “No, Nova, you didn’t do anything wrong,” I comforted myself, completely in denial. “The only mistake is that the sun and the stars belong to day and night. They are destined to never be together.”

The Decadence of The Fallen

The Decadence of The Fallen

After the short intro, Adrian began to sing. "A year has passed since the day you left But I know that I still haven't recovered yet... It was raining that day When I poured my heart out And begged you to stay But until now my heart is still dying The tears are still coming... Everyday it's still raining, Will it ever stop falling?"

All I Want Is My Lecturer.

All I Want Is My Lecturer.

She sat down again, with a meaningful space between us which got me to smile lightly, of course, she wasn't aware of my smile, because her face was buried in the book she was not reading, she was just avoiding my eyes. "Back to the poem; Poem for My Love by June Jordan." I read out the title of the poem and its poet before handing the script back to Adrian. "Read out the poem Miss Williams." She took it from me and began reading, "How do we come to be here next to each other in the night Where the stars that show us our love are inevitable Outside the leaves flame usual in darkness In the rain Falls cool and blessed on the holy flesh." She raised her head to glance at me, "That's all Dr Raph

The Alpha King's Breeder

The Alpha King's Breeder

I’m wearing boxers and nothing else, and I’m still covered in grime and dust. How am I here? I look down at my bloody hands, blood that isn’t mine. Blood that belongs to a man I can no longer call the Grand Wizard because he’s dead, which makes me… Fallon is sitting on the storm-swept beach watching the sunset. Her hair lifts off her shoulders in a calm, warm summer breeze that’s not my doing. The air feels lighter somehow. The clouds drift high overhead, revealing the first stars blinking into existence against a pale periwinkle sky. The sun drops below the horizon, casting its final rays in shades of crimson.

These books have been my lifeline. I am crushed to reach this point and have to leave this beautifully tragic world and all its perfectly flawed characters. I can't wait for the next update, and honestly hope (though I know it is in vain) we get to follow this family tree for even more generations.
