Love Conquers All

Love Conquers All

With brown and dark green water swirling and dripping from everywhere. The metal monster was not much bigger than Taylor or Damiens six foot four, but had all the makings of a great steampunk robot with rusted bronze gears at every hinge and what appeared to be steam spouting from its cylindrical head. The white-blue flame guy was the smallest of the group, but wider, double the width of any of the other monsters. Its whole being was the sinister dark blue flame that faded to white at the tip. Every time it took a step it left a scorch mark on the ground. Little scars on the earth it was trying to claim.

This was SO good. This is the 2nd book of Miss L that I’ve read, and she’s done it again. I love how she manages to capture a strong female lead, and managed to do it 6x in this story. I will say I’m a little disappointed in the abrupt ending. Wish there were a few epilogues honestly.

Lunation of Fate

Lunation of Fate

There was suddenly a tall man with a steampunk suit and an over-the-top top hat who sneaked up behind them. Chastine and Juste were startled, while both of Maxill's brows raised up. Maxill was eyeing the flamboyant witborn on his peripheral vision. The tall witborn then rested his hands onto Juste and Chastine’s shoulder, his right hand on Juste’s right shoulder, and his left hand on Chastine’s left shoulder. “W-who are you supposed to be?!” Juste asked while he was still freaked out by the sudden entry of the strange witborn.

Hayle Coven Novels

I totally understood. A glance right and left turned up his three sorcerer friends, the young red-head passed out in the lap of the girl with the bob. Damn it, what was her name? "What about the rest of your people?" Surely the Steam Union was way more than five young adults with delusions of white knighthood. Piers winced, and not just from the blow to the truck that shoved it back two feet, forcing us to scramble with it. "Ah," he said. "About that."

Where Do We Belong?

Where Do We Belong?

Dylan demanded answers and Charles took a deep breath before looking him in the eye. “The juggernauts used to be the only fully human town we created in this world. It wasn’t long before they began to favour machines and gears. One day they started researching ways of upgrading themselves in a painless but beneficial manner. It somehow worked and they became the juggernauts. A fully cyborg, steampunk style town where they can look human if they choose to. There is no one better to help Noah now.” Charles explained.

The Alpha Protocol

The Alpha Protocol

It was a symphony from upcycling, Steampunk and the magic of the regenerated earth. Logan, the First Navigator, emerged from the crowd of the celebrating rebels. He had his heavy breathing mask removed and worked years younger, even though his ashesblonde's hair was still moist from the melted ice. Going behind him several rebels in huge, bronze steam whistles, whose deep tutorials triumphant over the sky. He remained before us and looked from the luminous steel lungs to Kael and me. His eyes were full of deep reverence.

Alpha Everett’s fated mate

Alpha Everett’s fated mate

I felt electric shocks all over me as we stared into each other’s eyes. He had brown skin, a narrow face with less fat, he had blue eyes and full and symmetrical lips. He was pretty tall, a little above 6 feet if I was correct, and had broad shoulders. He had steampunk hair and was with no mustache. He was different from the other men. He wasn’t from the Jamba Kingdom. What is going on? The woman he was with rolled my eyes at me. I couldn't be more uncomfortable. “I’m sorry… I…was leaving.”

The Billionaire's Hot Chef

I doubted therenwss anyone who wanted to hear what she was speaking about, because as far as we were both concerned, they weren't interested. "Shut up." I told her. This would have been the best time to walk away, but fuck if I knew where I was going. Both the males and females were dressed in steampunk pantaloons, the males wearing the kind of shirt that Marcus occasionally wore while the females wore all types of tops, majority had their breasts exposed, the males stealing glances every so often.

Feral on the Ice

Feral on the Ice

They crossed the flickering boundary of the northern Echo-Zone, where the grass still shifted between soft clover and rigid, emerald-green pixels. There, they found them: The Iron-Keepers. They emerged from the treeline not as refugees, but as a Mechanized Migration. Their vehicles were massive, steam-belching crawlers made of scavenged brass and heavy iron, looking like something from a clockwork nightmare. These weren't survivors of the Grand Stack. "They’re from a Steampunk-Sim," Julian whispered, his prismatic eyes analyzing the pressure gauges on the lead crawler. "Project: Aetheria. It was a closed-loop simulation the Architects abandoned decades ago because the 'AI' became too obsesse

Shadows of the Lost

Shadows of the Lost

Since Z’s shadowless, she’s been working for months without accepting any salary, so Granny decided to save up money for her. She’d been distracted when an eighteen-year-old man, wearing a wine-red steampunk jacket, paired with black ripped jeans, heavily stomped inside. His delinquent face, punctured by a long linear scar, looked creepy as he grinned, his protruding eyes twinkling with malice. “Afternoon, m'lady.” He put his hands in his pocket while leaning on the nearest post. Her eyes bored at the triangular earing in his right ear before saying, “What can I do for a Masakonian like you, Mister?”

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.
