Stella stared at me as I had the first bite of my Kanelbulle and sipped on my latte. Stella was tall and skinny with a warm beige undertone skin color which was already wrinkling as she was in her early 40s. Her long black hair was the only thing we shared in common as her sweet violet eye color was different from mine but she has a special place in my heart since she was always there for me as a kid. Stella was like a mom I never had. She was the most caring person I've ever known and she always stopped at nothing to make sure I was happy.

Maya looked at him strangely. "Ai, you must be alien to be so ignorant. I am human, or earthling, if you prefer, but my people are called Hispanic, or Latina. We tend to have dark hair"-she pointed to her halo of curls-"and tanned skin. Don't tell me everyone on your planet is blue like you?" And she wondered if the blue extended to all his body parts. "No, we have different shades depending on the purity of the bloodline and the occasional other color depending on the mixing of alien genes."

**** Stella's POV My gaze met Evelyn's across the restaurant table, my smile masking the revulsion that churned within. I had been tracking the online rumors about my true identity, and the very thought made my skin crawl. The whispers of my family's dark past – a mother who had taken a life, a father who had succumbed to the bottle – threatened to suffocate me. My eyes flickered with disdain. Maeve answered and Valerie screamed in excitement. They spent the whole day talking about Maeve’s party and how they wanted it to go, Valerie and Camden excused themselves in the guise of having to go see one of the teachers as they talk about the perfect gifts to get Maeve as she was the only one in the group whose parents have less. They agreed on what to get her and they both got back to the library where Maeve was. Valerie Veleta don’t look it but her family has been rich from generations back, the moon goddess specifically blessed them with a lot and also her ancestors had worked hard to so for the rest of the Veleta’s lives, they don’t have to work for anything.

“Hello, my darlings.” Still holding on to her granddaughter, she allowed them to each kiss her on the cheek. Stella loved how devoted they were towards her, which meant they would be devoted to their wives. Each of them was tall and built, their hair was fire-red, with thick layers of curly locks and their eyes were a ferocious green. Only because they were smiling had their bad-boy look not been noticed. “Well, what do we have here?” Liam asked his mother. “Honey, this is Stella. She said that the child belonged to Ethan.”

“I know you’re the third generation of the Wulfric bloodline.” A new wave of shock rolled the table; Kael’s voice rang out, sharp and disbelieving, “You’re not supposed to know that! You’re a human!” Stella glanced at him, steady, and said, “I told you I’m a researcher. A professor of alternative history at the State University of Astria.” She paused, breath hitching, then forced the next words out, “I also know about the caves your ancestors made during their time and their proposed locations!”

Maia forces herself to keep quiet, controlling her sobs and breathing. "Ooh, Oakley! Yes! More!" moaned by the girl. She can't recognize the girl's voice. Maybe she came from the families of the other great ambassadors. Thinking about that is making her feel terrified. She is the only daughter of the third rank Alpha and the only difference between her from the others was she's not a pure blooded wolf. She squeezes my hand before letting it go. Despite how old the orphanage is, they’re good at keeping records and Sister Cecilia is so helpful and gave me the address. I look at the paper in my hand and smile winningly. Ha! This Stella McKaren lives in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, while my sister Stella lives in D.C. studying biotechnology and Global Health at Georgetown University.
