“I Alpha Terrance Beaumont of the Crescent Claw pack........” he paused as he looked at the young lady before him with admiration and pride before continuing as blood dripped from both of their hands that was clasped together.

Ava eyes watered with an evident sign of respect, as she gazed at the man who gave her life and fulfillment. He had an unlimited amount of love to give her and he does without holding back, he supports her in everything she does and guides her well.

Even without a mother she couldn’t remember much about, Ava grew up well, her father did a good job. He gave her the space to fly high and even made her the first female Alpha in their pack.

Ava very well believes she deserved it, her father was never prejudiced or blinded by love when it comes to discipline and training.

So whatever succession that was to happen, she earned it fair and square.

The air was thick with anticipation as Terrance's voice continued

“Step down as the Alpha and relinquish my authority to Ava Beaumont of the Crescent Claw pack” Alpha Terrance Beaumont's voice echoed through the night air, filled with emotion and pride.

As soon as he completed the vow, all pack members went on their knees, while Ava gasped silently as she felt the transfer of authority, the connection was intoxicating, and Ava's heart swelled with pride and responsibility.

Once the transfer was done, Ava pulled back released her hold on her father who backed away a step and bowed slightly to acknowledge her authority. Ava's response was instinctive; she bowed, her forest green eyes locked on her father's.

Facing the pack members who were still on their knees, all she saw was a sea of expectant faces, Ava's voice rang out, clear and strong.

. “I, Ava Beaumont accept the position of the Alpha of Crescent claw pack and vow by the goddess to fight and die protecting my people from these day........till I am called to the moon”

The pack members all rose and bared their neck in submission to their new Alpha. “Loyal to the Alpha, till the moon calls!” They all echoed this loudly, then they began howling even louder.

There was a lively air in the Crescent Claw pack, two important events had just happened.

One was the coming of age of Ava Beaumont the only child and heir of Alpha Terrance, and the double celebration was the handover ceremony.

Terrance had just handed over the control of the pack to his now 20 years old daughter, who had gained the respect and support of the pack due to her prowess.

Standing at 5ft8, her forest green eyes took in the howling wolves with pride ‘yes, they want me as their leader’ she thought to herself, letting out an unusually gorgeous smile, with her dimples on full dispway..

The he-wolves couldn’t help letting out loud whistles, it wasn’t everyday they get to see their new Alpha smile so sweetly. Normally, her beauty and hotness could not be denied, against the wish of her father, she was wearing a white suit piece and white heels, instead of the beautiful white gown she was ordered to shop for by her father.

This, in any way did not make her look less attractive, the suit hugged and accentuated her curvaceous body making her look hot and at the same time surrounded with an air superiority and firmness.

Her long, red hair, styled in an intricate ponytail, shone like a beacon in the moonlight, that was the only thing she was not able to have her way with.

Her best friend Maeve, though mischievous would not bend on that, and after much persuasion was permitted to style Ava’s hair in such a way

Ava Beaumont was a sight to behold, the combination of white and red had never looked so out of the world. Her presence could not just be ignored, as she stood on the platform where the transfer of authority just happened.

Both the young and old wolves had a smile of admiration on their face as they hollered their new Alpha’s name repeatedly.

Ava’s heart was beating wildly as she felt the excitement and sincerely of her pack through the bond.

She was so preoccupied with this new feeling that she didn’t notice the area slightly above her wrist emit light after which an intrinsic mark appeared there.
