He gestures vaguely. “What’s happening to you?” I ask, not liking that I’m seeing him this vulnerable. Allister has never been this vulnerable, ever. He always has his shit together. Always a step ahead of everyone, and knows what to expect from situations and what not. So, he’s always emotionally ready to deal. I watch him shake his head. “It’s a lot for me.
