LIA’S POV The morning had started beautifully …at least, that’s what I thought. I woke up to the smell of something burning, though the scent wasn’t entirely unpleasant. When I got out of bed, I found Steve in the kitchen, shirtless, humming off-key as he tried to flip pancakes. “Really?” I asked, crossing my arms. “You don’t even know how to cook properly.” He grinned without turning. “Who says I don’t? Hannah explained. It didn't take long before Hannah immediately said goodbye so I texted Divine that Hannah would borrow Hivo and my witch friend immediately replied, “Got it!” I left the room, and I saw Steven who was about to knock on the door. He was naked and still had a towel on his shoulder. I was about to say. ‘why are you here?’, when he suddenly kissed me which surprised me. Then he turned and marched up to his room. We just need a simple breakfast.” At a small restaurant near the hospital, I sat across from Steven. The smell of coffee and warm bread made me feel slightly more normal after the chaotic night. Steven ordered an omelet and orange juice for me, while he chose coffee and toast.

I was shocked that he only ordered food for me. "Are you not going to eat?" I asked him. "No! I already ate my breakfast so I'm fine!" He sat in front of me, obstructing my view of Ace and Olivia.
