Stiff The Curious Lives Of Human Cadavers Novels & Stories

In the center of the room, a table displayed the body of a bisected male. Dr. Campbell's eyes widened with astonishment as she observed the peculiar nature of the deceased. "This is truly incredible," she exclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of fascination and disbelief. "The man's DNA bears an uncanny resemblance to that of an animal, specifically a wolf... it's astonishing!" Sergeant Chriswell furrowed his brow, struggling to comprehend the implications. "How is that even possible? Is there any logical explanation for this from a medical standpoint?"

She sighed and stared at the young boy’s firm eyes. “Fine. You can properly bury your mother but we need to burn her body. We still don’t know anything about zombies. It just still the first day of the apocalypse” Andrea Su said. She was about to turn around but she noticed Psyche Flint’s changing reactions. Psyche Flint just watched the confrontation between Lincoln Joe and Andrea Su but something unexpected happened. She noticed that, on her sight, Lincoln Joe’s body turned transparent and blood veins were visible to her eyes. The blood flows on Lincoln Joe’s body thumped like a heartbeat.

It flooded the sac until he was floating in it. From his work in the cemetery, attending to coffins that sometimes had to be moved, he knew what happened to a corpse after more than a month in a sealed container. The inner organs, the muscles and eventually even the skin, start to liquefy and form a thick rancid soup. That’s what Jim was now suspended in, liquefied human remains. He was back in the womb, just like he’d always fantasised. Only this womb wasn’t like anything he’d longed for, it wasn’t a place where life began, it was a hellish abomination filled with the products of the grave.

Bon opened the door and signaled the three girls to follow him. A black hallway with glass displays on each side where shown and each glass displays had a mannequin laying on a bed that was in an upright position, 3 lady mannequins, nude and without hair was on their left side in three different shades, while on the other, there's numerous kind of jars with human organs in formalin, eyes, hearts, kidneys, tongues. Blanche wasn't stunned to see this room of Bon, she had an idea that human bodies were rotting in their mansion but she didn't expect that he had this kind of display.

Bile rises in my throat as I take in the contents of the room. The space is lined with tall glass tubes, illuminated from within by a faint, sickly green glow. And inside? Things. Disgusting things. Suspended in the viscous liquid are things that look like… fetuses—some human, some unmistakably wolf, some… wrong. Jars crowd the shelves—filled with preserved organs, entrails. Some are animal. Some are humanoid. Some… I can’t tell. My throat tightens. The stench of the room nearly makes me puke.

“Can I help you?” “I… uh…” I stammered. “If you haven’t got anything to say, kindly leave my office,” the dean said. “I saw something,” I blurted out, “in my anatomy lab. My cadaver… it wasn’t human.” The dean raised an eyebrow. “Oh?” she said. “Do explain.” “It had an extremely enlarged heart, and… fangs. Like an animal… a… a wolf.” Saying it out loud to the dean made me cringe at how insane I sounded.

Lloyd studied finance and had never encountered such a setting before. He instantly broke out in a cold sweat. However, Jade calmly walked back and forth in the room, searching for her studying material. Seeing Lloyd struggling to stand there, she teased him. "What is it? Are you here to learn medicine today?" As she spoke, she lifted the cloth covering the cadaver, revealing a dissected corpse. Lloyd turned pale with fright, his legs trembling, but Jade continued to introduce him to the anatomy of the human body without a hurry.

I had to keep studying—this was the only way I could avoid his gaze and his presence. After a few more pages, my eyes drifted to the large bookshelf along the living room wall. It was filled with thick volumes, most in Latin or old English. Slowly, I stood and approached it. My fingers brushed over a spine, trying to read the titles. Anatomi Licanthropica, Genealogy of Packs, Mutatio Lupus. I pulled one out, nearly choking when I saw its contents—pages full of strange illustrations: skeletal figures half-transformed into wolves, notes on dual circulatory systems, and countless terms unfamiliar to me.

The two of them decided to stay and talk there. Striding inside, Chadwick was amused by the human sculptures around struck with different poses. Mort studied them through his gaze. Both of them are Doctors. The moment they touch one of the sculptures, they know right away it was a human corpse which they just ignore and traverse into the heart of the room. "What did you call me here for?" Mort asked, breaking the silence reigning for several minutes.

The dissecting table bled violet. For three hours, the only sounds within the subterranean vault were the rhythmic rasp of Cattleya”s bone chisel, the clink of glass retorts, and the muffled thrum of the textile looms running overhead. The living harvester lay pinned beneath iron clamps, its skin peeled back in clean, surgical flaps. Its inner anatomy was a grotesque fusion of human organ systems and parasitic vampiric structures”three heart chambers pulsing out of rhythm, threaded with dark, pressurized conduits that fed the creature's hollow ivory talons.
