Novel & Cerita Stiff The Curious Lives Of Human Cadavers

Inside, various organs—hearts, livers, lungs—floated in a pale yellow liquid. More than a dozen stainless steel dissection tables stood in the center, each with a cadaver laid upon it. Animal carcasses lay piled in a corner. Several skinned, bloodied rabbits were stacked together. A small deer lay nearby with its abdomen sliced open, its organs spilling out. Several snakes lay tangled together, already stiff. The air carried a cold, fishy mix of formalin and blood. "Are you scared?" Gideon asked, his voice close to her ear.

"Jayden didn't use a mask nor gloves. I'm just scared he might get infected with any virus from the cadaver." There I froze a million times. Wait, I hope this is a mad joke? I can't die and leave biking, right? Not even the Red Playhouse I just found out. "The body had been sterilized." Professor Lydia said, and I felt like cold water had run down my spine. "More than that, it's surprising he saw all that with the microscope pointed to just one axial axis of the body." Charlie still continued. I now wished she had broken bones from yesterday's bike race.

Schnell had dragged J and me into what might've been the worst-timed biology class in human history. “Hold the specimen steady. Thoracic cavity intact. Neural cluster exposed,” Schnell barked. J didn’t flinch. His hands were already gloved, scalpel poised over the twitch-frozen corpse of the Neurovore. The thing was grotesque up close. Part brain, part armored insect, part machine. Layers peeled back like leaves in some hellish cabbage, each one drier than expected, but alive with unnatural precision. Fractal musculature curled in on itself like origami made of meat.

Cade I'm thirteen years old and the warehouse smells like rust and something rotting. Cole is standing over a man—or what used to be a man. Now he's just a mess of blood and exposed bone and parts that shouldn't be visible. "Beautiful, isn't it?" Cole asks, not looking away from his work. He's holding a knife, the blade dripping red onto the concrete floor. "The human body is such a fascinating thing. So fragile. So easily broken."

Jack said, his voice level, betraying none of the adrenaline coursing through him. Marcus shook his head, clearing it. "One man down, severe trauma, but vitals are stable. He'll make it. What... what the hell was that, Jack?" Before Jack could answer, a strange hissing sound began to emanate from the corpse. They watched in morbid fascination as the creature's body began to break down. Its flesh bubbled and dissolved, turning into a foul-smelling grey sludge that melted away into the rock floor. It was as if its unstable genetics couldn't hold their form without the spark of life.

My name is Joseph Chapman. I met one of my best friends, Lance Ellis, in college. When the holidays came around, he invited me over to his place. Lance lived with his mom. It was just the two of them in a big house. The moment I stepped inside, I noticed a pair of women's high heels sitting neatly on the shoe rack. Inside one of the heels was a pair of worn stockings. They looked… weirdly tempting. While Lance was not paying attention, I quietly reached out, picked up the stockings, and brought them to my nose. I breathed in.

“There is a cure. But it is not easily made.” She turned and gestured for us to follow her into a small opening in the wall that I had failed to notice. The air became colder the further we walked. We came to a dark chamber which had a lot of herbs, vials and strange symbols on the walls. At the center was a large stone basin, similar to the one we had seen at rainville but instead of green liquid, it held dark water. Seraphina stuck her hand into the basin then pulled out a small vial which had a silver liquid that glowed in the dark. Inside I could see a… flower?

We moved through the long corridors until we reached the lower chambers, where Rigor’s private study was located, the place where he carried out his experiments and research. The room smelled faintly of herbs and medicine. Shelves lined the walls, filled with bottles of strange liquids and scrolls covered in symbols. When we entered, someone else was already there. Ciri, Rigor's apprentice and also a healer herself "Alpha "she bowed, greeting me but I barely responded, my attention was completely on Rigor and whatever he had to say. "We found something after examining her blood with a few properties " He motioned toward a table covered in small glass vials filled with red liquid. My stomach

The thought terrified me, annoyed me and made my dick twitch at the same time. The stairs to the basement felt endless. I gripped the rail tight as my legs shook from the pain shooting up my thighs. The air down here was cool and thick. It smelled like chemicals and something stale, like old flesh. My heart pounded in my chest. Sweat trickled down my back, sticking my shirt to my skin. I pushed open the heavy door to the cadaver room. The hinges creaked loud in the quiet. Dim lights buzzed overhead. Rows of sheet-covered bodies lined the walls on steel slabs. The room felt cold and empty, like a tomb.

“Why us? Why? I was wrong. I was really wrong. Please, let me go!” Gardner and the others were so scared that they almost fainted when they saw what happened to Ajay. It was too bloody! It was too scary! Gardner’s lips and teeth were trembling. They kept knocking against each other. He was too scared, and his heart was broken. He recalled the first corpse that he learned to dissect. He recalled how he personally cut open the stomach of a living vagrant and removed his organs. He recalled the times when he could calmly eat a feast of human flesh and drink beer. It has been such a long time. He had never been so terrified. His entire body felt as if it had fallen into a frozen lake, slowly los
