He bolts passed all of the vampires until we spot the King, attempting to fight his way through all of the wolves who were annihilating his entire army. Unable to stop myself, I reached my hand out and brushed the spines of the nearest books, bursting with excitement as my fingers danced over the smooth, cool leather of the bindings. The book on top was lettered with gold leaf in a language I could not read. I gingerly picked it up, revealing a book of fairy tales underneath, and below that was a thick tome about math that was filled with numbers and strange symbols. “How do you know where to find anything in here?” I asked Alec as I drifted towards the closest shelf.

“What do you mean, nothing? Did you not sleep well?” “I sleep. But- I’m fine, okay?” I looked away, looking outside the glass closed window. I am trying to feel my new tongue and still feel weird. Having a forked tongue, I can feel like a snake. Is this what it feels to be a snake? Argh. Ridiculous. Why should I have to go on like this? Why didn’t he tell me before that most of the tongues I’ve borrowed will go rot and be dead despite of eating black pearls! And then I turned back to Drayce. I gasped, “It worked! It really worked!” But the book I had pulled over wasn’t the book I wanted to read. Among the books on the shelf, one of them which was as thick as two dictionaries combined, was a book that taught witchery. But when turned upside down and read from behind, it taught druid magic. I had snuck it from the library at the Canary Witches’ coven. But the problem was how to read it. I had learned three witch tongues, but I knew nothing about the druid tongue.

I fell to my knees right where I was, in the hallway in front of my room and pulled out the book. The roots were gone. I blinked, scanning the book on both sides. The roots clutching the pages from every side were gone, making it look like a normal book. Did I pick up the wrong book or something? But looking at the strange languaged title I was relieved it was the right book. But where did the roots go? Or was I imagining them entirely before? Shaking my head, I turned the cover, and pages written in that strange language came to sight. Peculiar symbols like the moon, wolf heads and many others occupied most of the pages.

The whispers behind him made him want to crawl into a hole and die. As for me, I chose this exact moment to surprise Theron.
