The Wild King

The Wild King

He smiled, his eyes smiling too. "Deal." The rest of the day was uneventful. Thank goodness. We went to the Heritage Center. He showed me all kind of old legends about wolfs. Most of them I already knew. Both our families live inside the Grand Portage National Monument and so is the Heritage Center. And lots land, river, lakes, trees and trees andtrees. Chippewa History and lands. I slept restlessly. My dreams weird and violent. I saw a black wolf with red eyes that was peeling off my skin. It was horrible. Then I saw a white wolf with yellow eyes bitting McKenzie's ankles while she just stood there painting her long nails.

Rain's Rebellion

Rain's Rebellion

she asked him as they both walked back toward the tent with their arms loaded with wood. “I think so,” he said. “Maybe you’ll get lucky, and they’ll behave.” “Maybe so,” Rain muttered, dropping all of her logs. Between the two of them, they had enough for a fire, but they’d need more to toss on throughout the night. “Where did they go?” Rain asked aloud. She couldn’t see or hear either of them. “I don’t know.” Adam looked a little concerned. “Do you think the stories about loose wildcats in these parts is true, or is that just something the Mothers made up to scare us?”

Torn Between The Alpha and His Bodyguard

Torn Between The Alpha and His Bodyguard

“She should probably start with the stories Nana always loved to tell her. Those are the type that might be illegal.” “What the hell, Tate. Why are you out here ratting out Nana like that?” “Tell me,” I say, ignoring her fake annoyance with Tatum. “Everyone has heard of ghost wolves,” she starts with a sigh. “But no one ever talks about what they are, how they came to be.” “All I recall hearing was that they were wandering wolves who lost their mates.” I shrug and Tatum shakes her head. “No, they are a ghost of themselves because they never found their mates.” Tatum corrects me and I roll my eyes. “Our moms always argued about that bit when they would try to scare us with the stories.”
