A Contract Marriage
I’m not in the mood to engage in conversations and I’m not in the mood to go cloth shopping but what choice do I have?
“Good afternoon” David replies, signalling to the driver to drive. He gives me a weird look as if he’s scrutinising me, “are you good? You don’t look as bubbly as usual” he asks, casually.
I nod, “I’m…” I say, tears strolling down my cheeks, something about being around him makes me vulnerable to my emotions, something I never do around people.
He looks a bit taken aback, but he shakes it off pulling me into his laps as he gently strokes my back. “Tell me what’s wrong” he quietly whispers into my ears.
