"How well?" the interrogator asks, suspicious.
The figure's mouth curves, just slightly, beneath the shadow of the hood.
"Well enough," the voice says, "that when I reach out to her directly, tonight, she won't need three days to decide whether questions are worth asking. She'll already know exactly what I'm offering, and exactly why she should say yes."
