BOOK 3: CHAPTER 63: Heat at the Threshold “Hello, handsome,” she purrs, her voice a silky whisper that snakes through the air like smoke from a forbidden fire. The words roll off her tongue slow and smooth, soaked in a sultry undertone that fills the space between them.

Penelope, as I read on her badge, said. She had pretty hazel eyes, and I could swear her natural hair was brunette. Her teeth seemed artificial, too, and from her statement, I could tell she had difficulty pronouncing some words. Summer waved the book she had snatched from me and said. "She's not anything like us and will never be. She belongs to the trash." I scowled and yanked the book out of her hand. "I'll be waiting for you in the car if you'll excuse me," I gave her a tight-lipped smile and walked away.

Sutburg was filled with flowers in spring, petals flying toward us in the wind, pink, white, and many other colors. Some flowers landed on my shoulder, and I thought to myself that I had made it through winter. And finally, my spring was here.

"Even if I can't have Liam, this has been the best summer ever." Can we not talk about Liam?

she asked, bursting with excitement. "Anything you ask for, A*i," said Weston, sitting down beside her. A*ianna looked at all their expectant faces with a grin on her face. "Anything, dear," whispered their mom. "Well, I came across this book and I found that the storyline resembles yours and Isabella's, Weston. The author's name is Isabella H. and she's based in LA. I think this is our Isabella. What do you think?" Asked an excited Arianna.

The second half of June was suddenly struck by a heat wave completely alien to the temperate climate zone in which Damian Radosz was located. Well, maybe not completely, because in summer the temperature could reach up to 40 degrees in the shade, but this was usually the case at the turn of July and August, not mid-June. After an endless winter, which lasted over eight months and a short spring that lasted a month, summer attacked definitely prematurely pouring real heat from the sky and sweeping through this part of Europe violent weather phenomena such as sudden, strong storms and even almost completely alien in this climate tornadoes.

She leaps into my arms, wrapping herself around me like a damn vine. “I’ve missed you soooo much!”

Cayden chimed in. Summer chuckled again. She hugged Cayden. "Congratulations on your wedding, Uncle. I'm glad you married Auntie. You two are a perfect match. Later, when you arrive at the hotel, open the letter I wrote. You have to read everything carefully. Say 'amen' every time you find something good." Feeling excited, Emily kissed the toddler's cheek. "Okay, we'll do it later. Now, how are you? Are you okay?" Summer nodded enthusiastically. "I'm healthy again, Auntie. Look! My face is beautiful again. Because of that, I can now serve as a good guide here."
