The Ending Without The Beginning

The Ending Without The Beginning

I take my phone and decide to text him. '' Hey, Aiden where are you?'' I place the phone on my desk and wait for him to reply. It's been 15 minutes, and there's still no sign of Aiden, so I decide to go to his office. I got out of my office, closed the door behind me, and headed to Aiden's office. I knock on the door, but no one answers. I opened the door, and no one was inside, so I decided to go to Aaron’s office. I knocked on his door, and no one answered either. I reach the handle, and to my surprise, the door is unlocked. I looked around, and no one was there either. I got inside the office and closed the door behind me. I went to his desk and sat in his chair. Aaron’s jacket was there,

Grim Reaper's Bride

Grim Reaper's Bride

“You're not listening to me, idiot.” He paused from kissing me: “What do you want me to say? That God is a crotchety old man? You've already met Metatron.” “Tell me the truth.” “There is none.” “I knew there wasn't a God.” “No, maggot. I mean there is no one answer.” “See?” I said, throwing the remote to the other end of the couch. He ducked so it avoided his head. “That's the problem with religion. It's not peer-reviewed. You can't verify it through experimentation.”

Breed Me A God

Breed Me A God

EZRA The first thing I noticed when I woke up was the silence but it wasn’t the good kind, or the peaceful, birds-chirping, Sunday morning kind. This was filed with silence, like someone had pressed their hand over the whole house and told it not to breathe. “Jesus Christ,” I muttered, rubbing my face. My mouth tasted like metal, my back hurt from sleeping wrong, and my stomach was a pit of nerves. For a second I thought about just packing up and leaving—money or not, this wasn’t worth my sanity. But then I remembered Lilian’s face, her voice reminding me about the contract. I’d signed my life away for a paycheck.

Meant To Be HIS

Meant To Be HIS

If my husband didn't want to have conversations with me anymore, I could talk to God even though I had to admit that I missed my man. "Where are you going?" He groggily asked that morning as I got about adding finishing touches to my makeup. "It's Sunday. I'm going to church." I said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. He sat up and tried to wipe the sleepiness from his eyes. "It's Sunday. We're spending the day together. Take those clothes off and get back in bed." "What? No!" I was happy to hear him wanting to spend the day with me but why today of all days?

Sarah
Really good follow on from the first book and I love how you have incorporated Christ in this book & their love story. As a growing Christian this was lovely to read, it didn’t have as much steam as the first book I can understand why but definitely drama filled.

Born Again Without a Burden

Born Again Without a Burden

As soon as I finished speaking, Serena pointed at me and declared, "You're pregnant. The cramping is just the baby moving, while the vomiting is typical morning sickness. I'll write you a prescription to help stabilize the pregnancy. Make sure you get plenty of rest." Almost immediately, the livestream chat lit up with comments congratulating Gordon and me. However, when he saw the messages, his brow furrowed deeply. "I'm a traditional man," he said solemnly. "I don't believe in sleeping together before marriage." Then, he turned to me. "Jolene Miller, how could you go behind my back and get pregnant with another man's child?" Gordon sounded so self-righteous, but I caught the glint of excit

HIS PAST: HIS BRIDE

HIS PAST: HIS BRIDE

It is being hosted every Sunday after the ladies come back from church. The thought barely forms before I recoil from it. Church. Nope. I don’t do God. I gave up on anything remotely resembling religion a long time ago, buried it in the same shallow grave where I left my optimism. If He was alive, if He was the benevolent architect they all claim Him to be, then why didn't He save my mom when she was dying the first time? Why did He allow the cancer to bloom inside her ? What crime did she commit to deserve that slow breakdown of her body, and what did I do to make Him punish me by forcing me to watch it?

CHILDREN OF GODS

CHILDREN OF GODS

She had even tried to get his tray of food for him, but he drew the line there. He was injured, not comatose. James sighed and studied the bright stars as he stepped out of the wooded path onto the parking lot. They looked like thousands of fireflies caught in a jet-black blanket. Beautiful, really. How comforting it was to know that a divine being did in fact create all of it. Even if the truth was different from what he was taught in Sunday school as a child, knowing that everything was not pure, random chance, seemed to provide a sense of peace to his mind.

Dawn of the Gods

Dawn of the Gods

On the fighting stage, Feng Jiutian gazed at Xiao Chen and said indifferently, "Mortal, have you seen clearly what a god is? Those socalled great skills of yours are unbeatable in the face of a god!" The cold wind swept through the square, blowing everyone's clothes hunting, at this moment, everyone stopped talking, everyone was silent. God, is the existence of the high and mighty, overlooking the multitude of beings every move, but now, the souldevouring demonic flower swept the human world, wars all over the world, corpses everywhere, why, there is no God to save all beings ......

HER MOTHER’S HUSBAND

HER MOTHER’S HUSBAND

The last day before Monday. I thought about all the Sundays this house had produced since I arrived — the Sunday of the thirty-six hours, the Sunday morning breakfast with the invitation to the garden, the Sunday evening my mother returned, the Sunday dinners with the candles and the wine and the managed distances. Sundays had a specific quality in this house, the permission of them, the specific suspension that the weekend produced. This Sunday had no permission in it. This Sunday was the day before the thing. I got up. The house was quieter than usual at seven-thirty.
