I muttered under my breath, shuddering at the mere thought of it. “Library,” I said and my library became alive. It had the power to speak to me based on the knowledge of books that were kept there. “Is it possible for a witch to change the course of her destiny? To change her mate?” I asked the library and it shook for a moment before it finally found the right book. That book was green in color and floated out of the shelf where it was kept then landed in my hands. “Skip to the page library,” I said and the book opened immediately to the page where it was written and it read.

It also carried an ancient aura which felt familiar. And natural. “What are you?” I whispered. And even though I wasn't expecting it to respond, I blinked when the book flipped its pages stopping at a particular page. The characters were foreign, but I understood what it meant. Which was odd. Very odd. But with the events happening lately, I needed to change my definition of odd. The book jolted, as if urging me to read the words. Its actions puzzled me. I read the words aloud. “Da-ji and the Controller shall become one.”

Realization hit me as I looked up at a serious looking Alexander. "You Alexander are just as big of a manipulator as I am. We've been manipulating each other every step of the way. It seems you one upped me because I definitely said to much. To bad for you though I'm always 1000s of steps ahead and think of everything and had safety precautions up just in case. So the moment I restore this book they will activate. " I said as I flipped to the last page and restored it causing the book to illuminate power all over.

I cautiously put it on just to see what it'd look like on me Then the glow of purple became stronger and the light was blinding filling every corner of my room... I felt great power... like i could do anything... as if I was one with the gem now... I turned around and noticed the book was closed... I was sure I left it open so I picked it up again and this time it opened itself... Then Suddenly... 'HELLO MASTER' (The words Faded into the blank page) I yelped and dropped the book 'PLEASE, DO NOT BE FRIGHTEN, I COME TO SERVE WHOEVER THE BOOK HAS CHOOSES'

I sat on my bed and leaned on the headboard before taking a deep breath. I wasn’t being delusional. I saw it, I saw that his eyes turned red for a second. I just shook my head and tried to get it out of my head. I got the book that I borrowed from the library. I remembered that this book was from Zion, the one he said I’ll like. The main character was a female vampire who had just gotten off of her transition. I’ve read some pages and I stopped when I realized something. Some of the information was familiar to me. I went back to the other pages to read it again.

Green magic flared to life as the bookcase softly swung inward. ***

“What's going on? “ Lucian walks into my room as if it were his own. Luckily, Rowena was already out, getting her friend and brother situated after the scares they had just had. I was trying to figure out how to break the news to him since I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not. My face must have shown something because he asked, “Uh-huh, what's the bad news?” Sighs, “ it's not bad news, it's just that I found the location of the book b-” cutting me off, he says, “ But you don't know if it's the right book?”

Sia commented on the book Diana was holding. "What can be more unexpected than a book about fate?" Diana asked. Suddenly, the book dropped from her hands to the ground. Diana looked at Sia in shock, then looked back to the book. "What the hell?!" Diana muttered as the pages of the book began flipping themselves. "Diana…" Thalia called but Diana was busy staring at the continuously flipping book. She looked at Sia. "Are you doing this?" Sia quickly shook her head. "Of course, not!"

Besides, reading to her could help ease the monotony of just sitting there and offer some form of excitement, something they both seemed to be lacking in these days. Damien opened the book, and began reading. He had picked up a random book on the bookshelves, and it had turned out to be the first book in the Harry Potter series. As Damien read about the world of muggles and Harry’s introduction to Hogwarts, the light outside started to wan as a scatter of clouds covered the sun momentarily.
