Sylvia said with a smirk as she made her way down the stairs, her long blue patterned skirt flowing in the breeze and jewelry clinking together like a delicate wind chime as she moved. Seth chuckled as he walked over to join Sylvia and I on my side of the truck. A frustrated sigh passed through my lips as I turned to look at the tiny brownies and bean-tighes that were still waiting in the truck. "You can make yourselves at home. There's more than enough room for all of you," I said as I held my hand out towards the packhouse. "I'm happy to see that they left Julia's cabin," Sylvia said as we watched the tiny fairies approach their new home.

An hour later, Paul jumps down from the wagon and goes to the little inn after spotting his wife’s dear friend at the lonely circular table by the window. Sylvia stands up as she buttons her long, grey traveling coat before embracing Paul for a quick hug. She looks to Paul as it becomes apparent that Sadie didn’t come with her husband on this short yet exciting trip; her questions are soon answered with Paul’s short reply that Sadie is at home, resting. Paul loads the suitcases into the covered wagon before carefully helping Sylvia to get settled for the ride home. The hour-long ride is filled with small talk, but mostly with deafening silence.
