“Finally. Took you long enough to admit it.”
Anton ignored the jab, his attention shifting back to Odette. His expression softened slightly as he took in her exhausted features, but the fire in his eyes remained. “This stops now. No more running. No more waiting for them to make the next move. We’re taking back control.”
Odette’s brow furrowed. “What do you mean, taking back control? They have the numbers, the resources, the reach—”
“And we have the element of surprise,” Anton cut in, his tone sharp and decisive. “They don’t know what we know. For years, I’ve been gathering information on their operations. Smuggling routes, offshore accounts, key players—everything.”
