I draw close, my lips inches from her ear, so close that I can feel the hairs on her cheek, her scent of wild heather and clean rage, her fury pouring over me like a flame, the electricity between us a live wire, a spark of violence and raw passion.
"Intelligence is knowing when to fight, and when to kneel," I murmur, my voice low, savage, for her alone. "A brute wins the battle, little wolf."
