Grandma curled my hair, Jade fixed my makeup, simple yet pretty, as I asked. My mom watched from where she sat, enjoying the moment of watching me get dolled up. A moment she wishes she had from all of my school dances and missed out on recitals when I was a child, after their fake deaths.
