LIAM As soon as I left Felix, my irritation still pulsing beneath the surface, I gave him a clear directive: "Dig into this 'Queen of the West.' I want to know everything by morning." This day kept getting better and better, with more mysterious women throwing themselves in my path. This Queen of the West woman, whoever she was, sounded more like a joke and a waste of time, and I had a feeling the stunt she pulled back in the game room wouldn't be her last.

His expression brightened in a split second. “Found them.” Taylor walked toward a shelf against the wall and picked up a stack of books. Moments later, he dropped them onto my desk. The pile was almost impressive. “These are all the records I could find regarding supernatural visions, rare omega abilities, and the effects of omega alpha mate-bonds.” Finally, something useful! After ruining my night, Taylor brought the books I ordered, making this late night work worth it. As I grabbed the first book, Kate's frightened face flashed through my mind.

Charlie objected. “I’m just trying to -” “He is not even my type,” Charlie interrupted, laughing. “He’s like seven years older than me, I think.” “Phew! Old man!” Taylor said, his voice loud and clear. Charlie cracked up again. “Stop it.” They were already on the first floor of the building when Charlie cupped his face. She declared, “I love only you.” “Oh, Babe.” Taylor's shoulders fell as he embraced her. “I badly needed that confirmation. I’m Taylor West. I’m confident and know my strength, but I gotta admit, when I saw Graham Wright's photo, I thought his beauty could turn men into gay.”

Tay asks and looks at me. “Oh no” Rachel realizes Tay didn’t know about me being the best-selling author, and I clear my throat. “Um, Rachel is the one who published my book when I was still in school.” I tell him. “You have a published book?” he asks with his eyes wide open. “Yep, and she is the best-selling author ever since her book was published. I’m sure you have heard of a book called ‘Behind closed doors?” Rachel asks Tay and his mouth half opens.

“I didn't know you had such voyeuristic tendencies, Miss Taylor. How long have you been peeping at me bath and I hope you enjoyed the view?” I opened my mouth to respond but my body had frozen, his close presence overwhelming, his scent intoxicating, leaving me speechless and struggling to breath normally. He gently caressed my face and I let out a warm breath, feeling my body melt under his touch and gaze. This man was like a venomous snake, paralyzing you before feeding. All I could do was stand there and let him. What chance of resistance could I possibly have against Jaxon West, the hottest, most masculine cowboy I had ever set my eyes upon?
