After closing the door, she slipped into Taylor’s bed. He seemed really out of it, lying face down. Charlie lay stiffly, holding her favorite plushie. It took a few minutes to calm her nervous heart, but soon, her eyes began to feel heavy. She shut it for a second, and the next thing she knew, her body relaxed, and she dozed off to wonderland.

He had been given a bunk bed with the softest-looking blankets I had ever seen. It looked like any kid’s dream, with toys stacked floor to ceiling, most of which hadn’t even been opened yet. “This is too much,” I mumbled, shocked myself at how over the top he had gone. “Nothing is too much for our boy,” he said, dropping to a knee next to him.

Charlie nods, and they head for the lift. Charlie and the kid’s stuff is still in the entrance so he grabs it and follows after them. She throws him warm glances from time to time, but he knows his effect on women and ignores it. When they get to the room, Eliza quickly pulls out the sofa, and throws a blanket over it for the kids to sit on. Charlie curls up with them, Ash takes the bags and puts them in the corner of the bedroom, and Eliza goes for the wardrobe.

The first class finished smoothly. The drool-filled teddy throw did not develop into any disaster. For the first thirty minutes, Charlie listened to Anthony's lecture as his students did. An hour and a half later, Charlie was sleeping peacefully in his stroller. He was probably full after finishing a bottle of milk and some fruit.

He put him on the bed while he lay on the mattress and let the puppy sniff around and settle beside him. “Hey, this isn’t our bed,” Aiden chuckled. “Yours is still in the box, and mine is the pulled-out bed. Remember that, buddy,” he smiled, reaching for the puppy’s head when it whimpered.

He could not wait to see Carol open her present. Carol opened her present. To her surprise it a Teddy Bear. A brown bear with a black nose. Carol was excited. She hugged the bear. Eddie was happy to see Carol excited. Eddie had saved his money he made from picking up pecans for the neighbor. This was the first time Carol had ever received a toy. She slept with the teddy every night. She took the teddy with her everywhere she went. It was her best Christmas ever. Eddie had proven that he could provide for the family.
