" It is morning. The search would be done before tonight so I can return to my room by night." " You will be discharged later in the day. You will stay with Lila until it is night and then you will spend under my protection." She did not respond. She went back to lying on the bed. Her face was expressionless. I started out the door and bumped into Contessa and Maximo. " I hear Ella Amato attempted suicide. Poor little thing. Life must be hell for such a damsel to want to take her own life. How pathetic!" Contessa said at the top of her voice, turning over and over again to bring an uninterested Maximo into the conversation.
