And just like that, after a wild night tangled in the moonlight, disheveled and covered in the marks of our passion, we walked out of his cabin.
Lucas lifted me into the same pickup truck from last night, thoughtfully buckled my seatbelt, and then drove us away, smooth and fast.
As I got in, I saw him rummage through my abandoned leather pouch, looking for something.
Before long, he reminded me:
"Ella, contact your pack. Tell them the mating ceremony with the Silver-pine Pack is canceled. Save them the trouble of showing up for nothing and losing face in front of other
