I needed a drink so badly and I just wanted to take my mind off everything. I can't remember how much I drank; I stopped counting by the time I took my 15th shot of tequila. Well, don't blame me, I just got the news that I will be a second wife, what am I supposed to do? Yeah, I was feeling really shitty that night. As women ogled me, I went straight to a barstool to order something to drink. “Whiskey.” I grunted at the bartender. He got to work making my drink before sliding it down to me. I chugged it quickly and ordered another. I could see him visibly sigh before getting to work again. Someone tapped me on the shoulder, and I turned to look and see who disturbed my peace. “Hi.” A short wolf squeaked at me. She had red hair, like Julissa and green eyes. I already started to resent her for looking similar to the one I recently lost.

About twenty meters away I spot them, or more to the point I spot him. Clayton Blackridge Alpha of the Lobo Sombra pack in his huge gun metal grey wolf. I said. I saw a bartender shaking a cocktail shaker. She had long dark hair and big green eyes, and I suddenly felt disappointed. I shook it off and flexed my shoulders again. I put my hand up to one of the bartenders and ordered my fourth shot of tequila and a beer. It took a lot to get a werewolf drunk, but I still should pace myself.

The creature was certainly Wolf, just very unusual. Wolf wore a huipil—a sleeveless Mexican tunic—and then there were maracas on the table, not forgetting the tall sombrero hat hugged to his chest. Those things shouldn't be near Wolf, especially the huipil, which was very brightly colored like a rainbow. Colors that were never seen near Wolf—usually just black or white. Zoe finally smiled, forgetting about the devilish woman for a moment. She now knew what Wolf's surprise was. Those items were his surprise. My eyes dug through so many exquisite and exotic whiskeys, vodka, and an abundance of tequila that were just as expensive as my mom’s gold jewelry.
