GABE A knock on the door had me pulling from my thoughts and it was welcoming. I needed a distraction. Thinking about the past always grated at my nerves building up the anger that always simmered on the surface. “Doors open” I called out, not bothering to move from my horizontal position. “Alpha, Jamerson said you wanted to see me?” The sweet voice carried through the stark and drab apartment. The owner of the voice, Bailey, walked around the other side of the couch and now stood before me in a short black skirt and dark grey tank top. Tanner My eyelids close for what I’m sure is the last time as the swamp swallows me whole. I blink, and I wake up from the nightmare of mud and mire to see an angel. There was no need to look for people that gave her away when she was born or so she thought. As long as she was concerned, they were dead to her. Uhm you have nice co-workers" Tessa stuttered as she ruffled her grandma's hair playfully. "I should go and eat now" she added quickly, she had to do so, to avoid further questions. Tessa's heart raced as she walked slowly to the kitchen, remembering she had just 24- hours to either say yes or no to the ruthless Aaron Winston.

If Fiona became the focus of everyone’s eyes and had a scandalous private life, it would only ruin Tessa’s personal image. “I'll have Sutton accompany you." Gabriel disliked her clingy habit, and the deep-seated disgust in his eyes was unmistakable. He reached out to pull her hands around him, but she clung to him tightly.
