Sweat made his dark hair stick to his forehead. Without the blockers dulling his features, his skin had a radiant glow that made it impossible to look away. Ella stood there, stunned, staring at Jasmine in her arms. “Hey, Ella, close your mouth before a fly gets in,” I teased, snapping her out of her daze. “You idiot,” she muttered, giving me a playful glare before turning her attention back to Jasmine, now calmer. “Oh my goodness, my Jasmine is so beautiful!” Ella gushed, her gaze fixed on Jasmine as if she were a doll.
