Concerned, I asked, "You okay?" Scott's response was curt. "I'll see you later." Back in my room, I recounted my encounter with Scott's dad to Lyra. "You got invited by Tepes Thane?" Lyra exclaimed. "That's huge!" I asked, "So, that's his full name. Why is the such a big deal?" Lyra's eyes widened. "You still don't get how iconic the Thanes are! Tepes Thane is the most powerful supernatural being alive. He single-handedly ended multiple wars and oversees a million-dollar empire."

He raised an eyebrow and retorted with a scoff, "Really? Weren't you once a lackey for Quentin? And you don't even recognize me?" Thoth glared at Liam, his laughter echoing with a chilling edge, eyes glinting with a deadly promise. "Kid, do you have any idea who I am? I'm Thoth. Just the mention of my name gets respect on the streets. Why on earth should I bother knowing a nobody like you?"

"I won’t fight you” This time a small smile appeared on Hades’ face. She jumped on the couch beside him and visibly peeked at his phone. I was worried he was going to say something to her, about how come she had plopped casually. I was going to call out for her to get back away from him because as wrong as it looked I did not even like her staying closer to him. “Are you talking to Thanos?” She asked. “Can I go and meet him” Who is Thanos? She did not even tell me about this person and why would she like to visit him. It feels as if I have missed a large chunk of life or if I have landed in an alternate universe where they all can settle around each other. But not me.

His striking blue eyes met mine, and I felt a flicker of confusion. This was Thanos? For a moment, I hesitated. The stories painted him as a ruthless warrior, a seasoned Alpha who commanded respect and fear in equal measure. But the man before me looked more like a college kid than a battle-hardened leader. “Aren't you the mighty Varg? Luca shouted, trying to struggle free from the wolves holding him down. “Let her go, Thanos! Let her go!” Thanos looked at me, smiling exasperatingly. It was driving me mad. “Are you satisfied? I’m sure you like this. You must be so proud of yourself for putting me in these chains, but let me tell you something you don’t know, Thanos. I am the Luna the Prophecy spoke about, and I promise you, you will be at my feet, begging to be saved while I leave you behind. You are beneath me, and that’s exactly where you belong!” I spat in his face.

I say assertively, “That being said, let’s get going. I’m wearing my surprise underwear and I want to give my guards the slip.” “You don’t wear underwear,” she bluntly points out. “That’s the surprise,” I say cheekily as I hold my hand out for her. She snorts and takes my hand as I escort her from her room. We walk into the corridor only to collide with Eisa’s father, Thanos. DO NOT LAUGH. Poor man has had nothing but grief from the children of the kingdom ever since that movie we are no longer allowed to mention, came out. He’s had that name for several centuries, now everyone associates him with some giant purple dude with a complex and way too much free time on his hands.

I ask completely mortified. Both nod their heads yes and I just want to mentally face palm myself. For the love of the moon let this not be a disaster.

Thanos stepped forward with his shoulder slumped. “Is this what you have been teaching the men in my absence?” he gave him a deadly. “I’m sorry,’ Thanos whispered. Lucas’s claw elongated. He raised it up and Thanos closed his eyes, awaiting his demise. “Stop!’ a voice yelled.

“Okay, let’s just say that he is not as crazy as we think and that he’s actually right. So what?” I wanted to correct him by telling him that Thanos, or what I usually called by his fake name Rob, was not crazy but in the end, I decided against it and simply continued with what I had been wanting to say. “So that book does exist.” I took a sharp breath and I could swear the wind blew a bit stronger when I said, “The Book of The Damned. It does exist. And according to Thanos, Gaia’s key is the key to unleash its power.”
