My Groom Fled Again, so I Chose Another
Hand in hand with Reuben, I began walking down the aisle.
Behind us, Derek charged into the ballroom like a madman.
"Celine! You can't marry him!"
Every guest turned around to see him standing at the entrance, looking utterly wretched like a man who had been abandoned.
He hadn't changed out of his tuxedo, and the boutonniere matching Lessie's bouquet was still pinned to his chest. But now, as he looked at me, it was as if he had finally realized what he had lost.
"I'm sorry, Celine. I know that I've messed up. I'm calling off that wedding. I'll sign the papers with you right now, and we can leave this second. You've always wanted to marry me, haven't you? I'll marry you."
