Once we’ve cured father of the poison, there is still the matter of the curse seeping through his heart.” I thought of the Luna of the Southern Pack in the story, how the Alpha King told him that she only had two days to live, that once the curse reached her heart, it would be too late. But then- “Blood.” I stated quickly, taking the book and flicking back to the page, “The blood of the Four Major Packs and the Alpha King were mixed to create the cure.” Alyssa’s face lit up as she looked at Nolan and me, “We have that, right?”

"There's always a way." He was quiet for a long moment. Then: "The lost Ancient Sacred Land." "What?" "The wolf-kind's original home. Where the curse was born. Where it can be undone." His eyes met mine, grey and steady despite everything. "The old texts say the first Alpha King bound the curse there, centuries ago. Used his own blood to seal it. If we can find it, we can unbind it." Hope flickered in my chest, small and fragile, but real. "Then we go. Now. Tonight. I'll pack—"

I looked up to see the cold, steely gaze of Alpha Aleksander staring straight ahead as he dragged me towards the door. "Let go of me, Aleksander!" I yelled as I came to a stop, determined not to move again. I turned my head to look at the council members to see them all standing. My gaze turned back to Aleksander, and I steeled myself against his rage. "You have no right to speak again!" he thundered, his eyes flashing with anger. "You have committed a grave offense, and you will face the consequences of your actions." His grip on my arm tightened painfully as he dragged me away from the council members. “Now come with me, witch!” His eyes filled with hatred as they looked into mine.

I was going to eventually have his head though… Once I had my wings back. More than a month had passed since I started staying in the SINNICA pack and yet, I still didn't have it in me to forgive Alpha Denver. I really wanted my wings back though and one thing I knew was, even if I faked forgiving him, the curse wasn't going to get lifted off him because I wouldn't genuinely mean it when I forgive him. My queen was very severe when she placed the curse on him and I was very certain that until I could bring myself to genuinely and honestly forgive him, there was no way I would be able to get my wings back. “I never asked for this.” “No chosen one ever does.” The Seer walked closer, raising a trembling hand. “When the curse was placed upon Kael’s bloodline, only a Moonborn could undo it. You did. But that was only the beginning. There is more.” “More?” Kael growled. The Seer nodded. “Another is coming. One who calls himself Alpha King, but whose blood is tainted. He gathers rogue packs to his banner, hunting the Moonborn. If he kills her, the original flame dies, and the true Alphas fall forever.”

She saw me in my beast form. But I wasn’t sure if she knew that I am the Alpha King. But it doesn’t matter to me if she recognizes me or not, I need to eliminate her. “Oh, shit! This is trouble.” All my life, I have been keeping this secret. No one knows about my curse except my mother, the former Luna of Debross, and my father, the Alpha King.
