Eden’s POV Ouch. The instant my head went under the water, it hurt. The lake was icy cold, far colder than I anticipated. I breached the surface and swam as fast as I could. Away from Zane and his terrifying black wolf. Away from the prison of a palace. Away from the stupid maids who gossiped all the time. And away from Chloe, the woman Zane had chosen over me.
