- River lies on his couch, pondering the ceiling while E Business plays on the television set—showing an ad for some random moisturizer. He checks his phone, then lays it back on his chest, not even a grimace on his face for he was too weary. A second later, the advertisement finishes and begins playing live coverage of Sebastian Black, speaking to the press outside of the Black & Co. building.

I packed enough for a couple days and before I knew it, I was getting off a plane and walking down the runway in a trance. It all went by in a hazy blur. Then, he gave me a polite smile. The view changed after that. Rose stood there, lost in her thoughts. Everything around her is dark and broken. She started to move, she moved her right foot towards the jeep, then she slowly moved another and after a step she stopped and turned her neck to her shoulder and a drop of water moved out from her beautiful black eyes and then slipped on her red cheeks.

Blair asked over the phone and after talking for about a few minutes, she disconnected the line. "Damn this waiting thing is taking forever." she sighed. Blair walked leisurely to the shower, steam filling the room as she cut the shower on. The water pours down, it drips by her side, as her mind fades into dullness and everything is a foggy illusion. The sensation of the steamy water calms her; it takes her mind off things. All the things she honestly doesn't care about. It's the water. Her mind swirls, and it's like she's standing under an everlasting waterfall. Ever so beautiful, but it can never last, she knows that now.

I drove all night, and as the sun started to rise, I came into a city called black water. I decided this was where I would stop, a fresh start to be whoever I wanted to be. No one would know me here, and Brax, Pearl, and my family wouldn't think to look for me here. I parked the stolen car in a dark alley and made my way through the empty streets of Black Water. The city had an eerie feeling to it, but I didn't care. I was free from the pain of my past life, and I was ready to embrace the darkness that now consumed me.

Alpha James’s POV The heavy rain pounded against the window of my office, the downpour threatening to breach the glass barrier. With a grunt, I strained to close the window, the cold droplets sprinkling my face as I wiped the moisture from my hair. Just as I was about to turn away, the sound of footsteps echoed behind me.
