The young beta was standing behind Alice, and his hands were wrapped around his chest. Cain stood up and circled my pup, sniffing her and looking her up and down. I growled at him in warning, and he ignored me. I stood up and pushed him away and stood nose to nose with him, or at least tried to; the asshole was so fucking tall.
