He saw a white book with the Holy Bible boldly written on it. He walked towards the bed and picked it up. He had never used a bible before and didn't know where to find Romans. He checked the first page and found the index. He used that to find the scripture and he read it. 'For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us'

With a soft sigh, Aldric breaks away from me and excuses himself with a, “I’ll be right back.” I take the time to go through the closet in search of a leggings or jeans, anything that’s not a dress. “I told you to make a list,” Aldric says behind me. “I haven’t had time, yet, have I?” I turn away from the wardrobe to look at him. “Why can’t I hear you coming?” “I’m stealthy.” He holds up a big book. “Our bible.” “Vampires have a bible?” “Yes. Anastasia was really cunning but a diligent woman as well. She moved out of the kitchen and wondered what she would do for the entire day. She knew the maids wouldn't let her work. I turned around again on my bed trying to find a magic position to make me sleep and forget reality. I just couldn't rest, as I turned around my eyes landed on that one book, that one book I do not like to cslla book , I call it life. I got off my bed and walked to my drawer to pick up my bible. I had gifted one to Desiree and I had one with me. I opened it up and started reading…. One hour later…. I closed down on my bible with a heavy sigh from my lungs. My heart was now steady and normal. I looked at the bible again and just smiled, funny how much life it had and no one seems to understand the gravity it has, the amount of life it gives.

Strangely enough I felt a sense of peace and was urged to read on. I read through the page and I don't know how but I found myself weeping. I picked up my phone and downloaded the bible app. I hadn't opened this in so long, I couldn't even remember the last time I went to church, except for a wedding. Crazy huh? "Babe?" I heard Damien's voice from the bedroom and quickly wiped my eyes clean of any trace of tears.

My expression was grim, as my eyes blazed with determination. "The scroll contains the one thing Belzebub doesn't have," Gabriel quietly said. "The heavenly scriptures, the divine message of God, and the good news of the gospels. These are the weapons we need to defeat him." With a swift motion, the scroll unraveled, revealing the scriptures in a language that seemed almost divine. Our combined form stood ready, our body glowing with a fierce determination.
