Torn between mafias

Torn between mafias

Rose’s POV I didn’t wait to find out if they saw me. The second I heard, “Who’s there?” in Luther’s voice, I slipped behind the waste bin and vanished into the alley’s shadows. My heart was pounding in my ears as I bolted down the narrow path, lungs burning, panic rising. Luther, Vicenzo. They weren’t supposed to be in the same room, let alone shaking hands in the shadows like allies. And if Luther didn’t know Vicenzo was my ex, the man who once pointed a gun at my face then I was carrying a secret that could destroy everything between us. I barely made it home before the breakdown hit. I kicked off my heels, locked the door, and slid to the floor. My stomach was twisted in knots. My thought

A Don's Tale

A Don's Tale

It wasn't to record his own life but to record all the details about Elena that he had once overlooked. He wrote about the first year of their marriage, when Elena threw out her back from scrubbing the floor and curled up in the corner of the kitchen in pain. He had walked past and seen her, but he had only looked away coldly. He wrote about the second year of their marriage, when Elena was working at the casino, and a drunk gambler grabbed her wrist. She had pulled away and hid in the bathroom to cry, but then she came back out with a smile and continued dealing cards.

Taken by the False Priest

Taken by the False Priest

“Arnold is very powerful. He rules all of Sicily and some parts of Mexico. He does dirty business no one knows about and kills anyone who tries to disrupt it. I guess you knew all this before taking this bold step of saving your sister.” Carden was quiet. He really wanted to tell Fred the truth—that Anna is not his sister, but a girl he had been dreaming about for months—but it would sound stupid if he said that. He wasn’t ready yet. Not this time. Everything seemed confusing now. Carden broke the silence. “Yes, I need to do this for my sister… Another thing: immediately I stepped inside the house, I felt a sort of familiarity, like I had been in the house before, but I can’t recall how or w

The Billionaire's secret baby bride

“Not you. Not as long as I’m standing.” “Do you believe that?” she whispered. Silence. The truth was, I didn’t. The black card had never been about a single man. It was a message, a promise of destruction to everything he held. And now, Isabella was tangled in the threads of my war. --- By midnight, the first fire came.

The King of Hearts: Seducing the Mafia Don

The King of Hearts: Seducing the Mafia Don

I chuckled. “Yes, there's actually a room like that. But don't worry about it, it's guarded by Dante's men, and you won't make such a mistake.” She smiled at me. I felt bad for lying to her like that, but it wasn't like there was another way to get information out of her, was there? Progres. At least, I now knew The King of Hearts was hidden somewhere at the mansion… *** I strolled along the corridor, wondering how many doors there were in the mansion. I'd been walking since forever.

One of my favourite stories Ive found. the storyline amazing, the characters especially having a strong female lead amazing and the humour made me laugh laugh out loud at times like a crazy person. Kudos to the author and her brilliant imagination. it does however need to be edited/proof read though

this is a really good book! I wish the author would learn how to use punctuation correctly! and " marks make a big difference! she uses some weird brackets between their talking. That's one big long run-on sentence between everybody talking. sometimes it's hard to figure out who is actually talkin

he gave her hand a gentle squeeze as they climbed the stairs. They moved further inside, entering a hall. Her breath hitched and she was suddenly very nervous as all eyes focused on them, remember when the female characters in the novels used to feel very uncomfortable and out of place at those high-class ballroom parties, yup I feel every single one of you, she smiled nervously.

The Hybrid Alpha

The Hybrid Alpha

Cardinal hasn’t shut up since I stopped the kiss back in that interrogation room. He’s pissed at me. He has no right to be pissed. As my wolf, you’d think he could see things from my perspective. That he would understand what I’m thinking and feeling. But since meeting André, he’s stopped even trying to be on the same page as me. ‘OF COURSE, I’M PISSED!’ Cardinal shouted. ‘Our mate was in our lap making out with us. We were in a private space where no one was going to interrupt. And you cockblocked us!” Cardinal ranted.

I Really can’t get enough of Andre and Darren!!! I want more of them! And I want to know who will be their surrogate she-wolf and want a glimpse how will they look like and how will they feel having their own baby/babies! Please my awesome dear author! Can’t wait also for darling Delilah & Alexander

This book is amazing. Mate bond is a mate bond. The goddess doesn’t make mistakes but Darren has to remember this and come to terms with it. This is a fabulous book! Clearly labeled Book 2 of the Incubi series. Can be read after the Bloodmoon books 1 & 2. Also fabulous books.

The Mafia Boss

The Mafia Boss

Cardinal stepped out of the shadows "Or should I say Arivonese?" Royalty looked at me confused. "How'd you get out?" Damanico pulled out a gun and I heard a click. "My girls follow my rules once I get into their pants and satisfy them." Cardinal laughed and pulled out a gun in each hand "Goodbye Damanico." In one swift motion he fired at Damanico whose reflexes were extremely sharp and when he tilted his head the bullet missed. He's sharp! Damanico fired back and hit Cardinal in his arm. He was about to fire another one when there came the sound of far off sirens and shattering glass. All attention turned to Felix and the millions of sparkly pieces around him.

Frequently Asked Questions

I stumbled upon 'Cardinal's Rule' during a weekend bookstore crawl, drawn in by its mysterious cover. The novel follows Lucia Cardinal, a brilliant but reclusive art forger who’s pulled into a high-stakes heist by a shadowy syndicate. The twist? The target is her own masterpiece, a painting she swore she’d never replicate. The story weaves between her gritty past and the present chaos, with flashbacks revealing how she mastered her craft under a notorious mentor. The syndicate’s motives blur between greed and something eerily personal, making Lucia question who’s really manipulating whom.

The pacing’s a rollercoaster—tense heist scenes contrast with Lucia’s introspective moments in her cluttered loft, where she debates morality while restoring old canvases. The climax hinges on a brilliant double-cross I didn’t see coming, tying back to a minor character introduced early on. What stuck with me was how the author made forgery feel poetic, like Lucia’s replicas were love letters to the originals. The ending leaves her fate ambiguous, but it fits her rogue spirit perfectly.
