“It's better than actually getting married, right?” A contract? He's suppose to get married using a contract? “How did you say it works again?” Michael let out a sigh “it's simple, you and your chosen lady sign the contract that states that the marriage lasts for only 6 months. During that time, you should be able to get the company and right after, it dissolves" “A contract means money, Michael. This contract says 5 million dollars. I'm not giving my money to any lady” he made it clear

"Let's meet at the Next Cafe tomorrow at 12 pm." *** The next day, when we met, Drex handed me a document that immediately piqued my curiosity. "What's this?" I inquired, giving him a suspicious look. "Please read through it; it's the best solution I could come up with," he urged. I opened the document, and it was titled "Marriage Contract." As I perused its contents, it outlined the rules we would have to abide by: - Rule No. 1: Divorce after 5 years.

Or smack his head. "And why?" "Because.....I don't want to and half of the amount is still with me." Was he trying to change my mind by saying this? "That's the thing, you don't have to give me more-" "I'm gonna give you double of it and there will be some changes in the contract as our marriage is going to be longer than two years." Wide-eyed and mouth apart I stared at the man in disbelief. Here I was saying to end the contract, find another girl and marry her then have a baby but he was telling me that we would stay together for more than two years.

This might ruin his reputation to the public if they will know about this also this is just a contract marriage, no need to say it in public. Third, we will live in the same roof but not in the same room. I almost got choke by my own saliva when I read the number 3. I really thought we're living in the same roof and the same room. Riley manipulated her computer's mouse as she viewed the Mercedes file "He resides in Turkey and frequently travels back and forth as a result of his company's expansion here. Is that accurate?" "Yes, we.. Uh. It's a contract. Our marriage was solemnised through a contract." She spluttered in embarrassment, her face turning crimson red. Riley's gaze darted to hers, registering her shock and assessing Mercedes's shameful demeanour. "Contract marriages are not uncommon in this day and age, so you should not be embarrassed. However, I'm going to be candid with you." She leant back in her office chair, her fingers galloping against one another as she fixed a serious look on Mercedes.

His eyes drifted to my belly. "You need to take responsibility for this, Adam," I said, looking him in the eye. "You have to marry me." His lips parted. For a second, I got distracted with his red lips. Damn. I knew how good those lips were. "You're insane, Claire. How could you think of marriage when we don't even know each other?" I just arched my brow. "But you got me pregnant. You need to take responsibility for this." He let out another curse, then tilted his head upward. He looked at the night sky for a few minutes. I saw how his Adam's apple moved. "Fine. I'll father your child," he said, meeting my eyes. "But I won't marry you."

“You don't have to love me.” Sophia's eyes flashed. “That's convenient.” “You don't have to sleep with me.” She looked at him sharply. “You don't have to pretend we're a real couple when we're alone.” Sophia remained silent. “And when the contract ends, you walk away with enough money to start your own life.” She looked down at the document. “How long?” “One year.” “One year?” “Yes.” “And after that?” “The marriage ends.” Sophia slowly reached for the contract. She read the first page and then the second.

"Anyways, as I was saying, you'll be my wife for the next 6 full months. The 1st half of the 3 million will be deposited into your account the day of our wedding night and the other half when the contract has expired. Also you must make sure you don't get pregnant whilst the contract is on going. So the contract is in your hands, to agree or not to agree." With what I told her the look on her face was indecipherable. I could not tell weather she was in it or out. But she better agree because the earlier we do this, the we earlier we get this over with. I never thought I will ever think about getting married or even think in those lines worse the type of marriage I want to involve myself in n

I say, nervously biting my lips. “A contract marriage?” He says, I nod, “yes, a contract marriage between the two of us”. He smiles, “I understand what you’re trying to say, but why do you think I need to get into a contract marriage and if I did, why will it be with you?” He asks.

“She is an omega.” “She is carrying an Alpha heir,” another elder replied. “That changes nothing and everything.” The room pressed in on me, not physically, but the weight of it sat heavy in my chest. I wanted to deny it, to find a way around it, but every option collapsed the moment I reached for it. Marriage was the law. Not a choice, not a suggestion. My father stepped forward. “A contract marriage will be drafted. One year. No expectations beyond legitimacy and stability. No bond enforcement. No public intimacy beyond what is required.”
