When the princess saw that someone was walking after her, she turned and stared at him. He smiled, "Hi, my name is Damian. I just saw you for the first time today and I just came into the kingdom. I want to say you're so beautiful." What is this?" she asked, shocking Damian. "Look at how disgusting you look! What makes you think you can talk to me? Have you no respect? Guards! Why would you let someone like this talk to me? Look at the way he's dressed. He's even smelling! If I talk to people like this, what do you think of my reputation? You want to drag it through the mud!"

I repeated, looking at Kaelen. Kaelen froze, the glass halfway to his mouth. "I assure you, I am quite watertight." Valen let go of my leg. He walked over to Kaelen. The prince stiffened, his knuckles whitening on the head of his cane. The guards at the door shifted, hands drifting to their weapons. "Stand down," I ordered the guards, my voice cracking like a whip. Valen stopped in front of Kaelen. He was so small, barely reaching the prince's hip. He tilted his head, his golden eyes narrowing.

Valerian’s expression sharpened. The councillor stood. “The witness line must be respected.” A second councillor rose. Then a third. None accused Valerian. They did something more dangerous. They refused to let him become the exception. The senior judge struck the desk once. “Prince Valerian, return to the opposing table.” Valerian looked at Lorelai. She held his gaze. He stepped back. The courtroom breathed again. Valerian returned to his table without looking at the councillors who had spoken.

"You're going to put me in that? You're treating me like I'm crazy?!" His fury burned through his exhaustion, igniting something violent inside him. The sheer insult of it sent a fresh wave of rage through his veins. He wasn't insane. He was trapped. He was losing control. But Valerian? Valerian merely chuckled. The sound was low, almost amused, but there was something chilling beneath it. He tilted his head slightly, watching Adrian like he was nothing more than a pitiful animal lashing out in its final moments. "After this," Valerian said smoothly as eyes gleamed with cruel amusement.

“I am your prince!” One of the guards stepped forward, his eyes cold and unyielding. He leveled his spear at me, his voice devoid of emotion as he spoke the words that sent ice through my veins. “Prince Neil, you are under arrest and sentenced to death for consorting with Werewolves.”

The werewolf-formed Acanthus lay down on the cold dark floor as he whimpered. Valerian took the opportunity and ran towards Acanthus. Valerian pulled out a dagger and stabbed Acanthus. As Acanthus suffered from the pain, he went back to his human form. "You can never defeat me, Acanthus," Valerian whispered. On the other hand, upon seeing Acanthus lying on the floor, Natasha quickly tried to attack Valerian and obey the order of her father to kill Valerian, but Valerian was quick and was able to stop Natasha by holding both of her arms.

“Your Majesty, if I may, I just have a concern regarding your mate….” “And you are?” She curtsies, then flashes me a subtle dirty look. “Naomi, your Majesty. I am Valeria’s stepsister. I just have to let you know that she is a cursed white wolf, therefore, not fit to be your mate.” Annoyance flares in my chest. She really wants to derail everything in my life, doesn’t she? Thankfully, Ares already knows. His lips curl. For a moment, he doesn’t say anything. Naomi views this as her win and starts to sneer, thinking that she deterred the King from marrying me.

Riley did tell me that man was the Lycan prince. Not many Lycans exist,” My forehead creases. “He’s not a werewolf?” “He is just stronger and different. I don’t know much Riley just said he’s different and way stronger than a werewolf, he’s even stronger than the king of wolves,” My stomach tightens. And my chest squeezes.

"What exactly is a valerian?" My question makes Richard's eyes flash with surprise. "They didn't tell you what you are?" He searches my face for a second and when he realises I really don't know what I am, he says," Valerians are a race of very powerful vampires. So powerful, they make us look like kittens. They're the only vampire able to compel another vampire and they used to rule these lands viciously." His words make me shiver but I don't say a word, wanting him to continue.

I mutter, watching fresh blood trail down my leg, dribbling onto the rock. They call him the Immortal Prince. The one I think is up here, I mean.
